I recently had the immense pleasure of staying at Vancouver Studios, and I must say, it was one of the most delightful hotel experiences I have ever had! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the incredibly warm and welcoming staff. Their friendliness and professionalism truly set the tone for our stay. Not only were they lovely and accommodating, but they also had an exceptional knowledge of the local area, providing us with excellent recommendations. Their tips made our visit to Vancouver even more enjoyable and memorable. The hotel itself was impeccably clean and well-maintained. Every corner of the property exuded a sense of care and attention to detail. Our room was absolutely spotless and beautifully appointed, providing a serene and comfortable retreat after a day of exploring. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. One of the much-appreciated features was the fantastic water pressure in the shower. After a long day out, a refreshing shower with excellent water pressure made all the difference. Without a doubt, we will 10000% be returning to Vancouver Studios. This charming hotel has earned a special place in our hearts, and we cannot wait to stay here again. Thank you, Vancouver Studios, for an unforgettable experience – you truly are a gem!
I stayed here for a couple of nights last year. I almost never write negative reviews, but I had such a weird experience that I felt like warning people may be warranted! First off, great location. If your luggage isn't too crazy, you can easily walk from Paddington Station. It's close to plenty of the touristy sites, and, of course, plenty of Tube stations nearby. Another bright point is that the staff were very helpful and actually most of them were very friendly. The reason I gave them a low service score was the hotel as a whole, not employees, who were wonderful. When I arrived for my stay, they had lost my reservation. I had saved my confirmation email and written down my confirmation number, which I always do for everything I book just in case, and this was the first time this has ever happened. The front desk person at the time was able to track the purchase after a while, which she said more or less just didn't save properly to secure a room. Okay, one offs like that happen, but there was someone waiting behind me who was checking in, too. She asked if she could check him in while we figured out what was going on before she was able to track the purchase, and his reservation was messed up, too! They had it saved, but it wasn't what he booked, so that had to be fixed, as well. The room was also kind of gross. Very run down, the refrigerator was in rough shape, and I'm not sure if the room just hadn't been cleaned or it was so dingy just because it was run down. There were also a bunch of bugs. Someone had clearly been smoking in the bathroom, too. I kept the exhaust fan on the whole stay, and it very much didn't help. Of course, that last bit wouldn't have been the hotel's fault. So, very kind and helpful employees and great location, but clearly error-prone website/reservation system, and not exactly sanitary-feeling rooms. You may want to email or call to double check your reservation before leaving. It worked out for me because it wasn't a heavy travel time and they had some empty rooms, but if they'd been full, I'd have had a mad rush to find another hotel.
Great location, very friendly service much appreciated. Loved the area and range of drinks / eateries. Would stay here again, as very reasonable prices. Suggestions for the triple room - set of drawers, new rush mat under bed - to make it even more comfortable. Thank you!Rooms: 4/5
We had the three bedroom apartment on site. This place was terrific. There was a private back garden patio area which was the entrance. The ground level has a lounge area and full kitchen. The basement level has three bedrooms and two full baths. The rooms on that basement level have windows into a small courtyard or open air space. It was really unique. I loved that it was quiet and peaceful and we had great sleep. The location is perfect. It’s close to several tube lines and shops and restaurants. The staff was really nice too.
Perfectly equipped apartments 5 minute’s walk from the main Vancouver studios’ address. The main bedroom was really comfortable. In the living room, a sofa that can be set a bed was ok for a kid. In the apartment. A micro oven, an oven, a fridge, a dish washer… a real kitchen where you can cook what you want. Even a washing machine for clothes but we did not use it. Apartment is at the foot of bus stations goings everywhere, so it is really convenient Piccadilly in less than one hour by bus, Harry Potter as well, etc.. A small supermarket and also restaurants are in front of it. You can go to Notting Hill by foot, to Kensington gardens / Hyde Park, and some subway stations. Area is globally quiet. The only little drawback is the noise from the underneath restaurant jazzy music + kitchen’s air vacuum most of the time until 11PM max, but once it was until 1:30AM.
We were charmed by this quirky little hotel. It is a great location — only a five minute walk from the Baywater tube station and a 10 minute walk into the heart of Notting Hill. Plenty of pubs restaurants grocery stores within an easy stroll. It is not fancy, but it has a lot of charm. We stayed in the three bedroom two bathroom apartment and had more than enough space and a washing machine which was a real treat. It is a two floor apartment and the stairs are steep. big clean bathrooms, comfortable beds, and they kept us stocked with coffee pods
My room had basic features but was spotless clean. Very kind reception staff. It's a quiet area with plenty of bars and restaurants, well connected to Central, District and Circle lines. Will come back again! Rooms: Super clean room, which I don't take for granted in London. Safety: Room key is kept at reception, which has a 24h service. Walkability: 5-10 min walking distance from Bayswater and Queensway tube stations.
Excellent location, good rooms, very quiet. Not sure why small issues in the room like broken light or blocked safe box can't be solved within a day. Breakfast only starting at 8 AM.Rooms: 4/5
Wonderful service, beautiful garden backyard and cosy rooms. Ours had a small kitchen part if you want to prepare your own snack. Easy to find and reasonably priced.Rooms: 5/5
On the positives: Easy to find the hotel and in a central location only a short walk from 2 tube stations. Very comfortable bed pleasantly surprised with that, generally a functional room with a good decor. On the not so positives: My room was located on the 3rd floor and the straicase from 2nd to 3rd floor was too tight, with short stair width and tall stair steps, which made going up the stairs uncomfortable, especially when carrying a small suitcae. Also, the shower and rest of toilet facilities were disjointed, which was unusual - still funtional. Overall: cute place, good value for money, but the rooms on the higher floors are not easily accessible.
