My mom and I stayed here at the end of June and we had a wonderful time. Great service and friendly staff. Adrianna was so welcoming and friendly. The rooms are a little small, however I think that’s common with a lot of hotels in London. Nice clean rooms everyday and a delicious breakfast with a variety of things to try. Location is also great if you want somewhere quieter.
We stayed here for three nights. It felt like they recently renovated because the room looked modern and sleek. Great location near multiple tube lines. Front office staff were nice. Room was very clean. The only slight issue was that you couldn't open the windows so the room would get very damp after a shower.Rooms: 5/5
Rooms are small; however, there was more than adequate storage space. The room I stayed in had a mini fridge and microwave as well. It was nice to have ac to cool off at night. Location is perfect with two Underground Stations within a quarter of a mile as well as proximity to Kensington Gardens. Loved the neighborhood with the shops and restaurants nearby. Rooms: Small but adequate space for storage. Walkability: Easy 5 minute walk to two Underground Stations or about 15 minutes to Paddington Station.
My wife and I started our 20th wedding anniversary at the Byron Hotel. I apologize for not remembering the gentleman’s name that checked us in but he was wonderful. We arrived early and knew there was no guarantee of getting a room until the posted time of 4pm but he was able to get us right in, which was a significant treat as we were very tired and needed a shower. The room was small but well appointed and honestly all we needed as we did not come to London to hangout in the hotel room. Location, location, location! Great spot on the north west side of the park with plenty of steps away from Bayswater and the noise. Our room was very quiet. We did not take advantage of the breakfast but heard good things. Again, I cannot say enough about the staff and their willingness to help. Hope to be back soon. Cheers!
A great find. Convenient location in a lovely street. Staff very friendly. My single room was very small but clean and had everything you would expect. Breakfast good value. Would stay again.Rooms: 5/5
Byron surprised me - Got to know it is newly renovated. Superb! Comfortable bed; English breakfast sufficient spread. Quiet - not rowdy and traffic sound. Easy assess to public transport - bus and subways. Opposite Kensington Park / Palace is the key to my London visit. Perfect walk during summer. Rooms: Clean and newly refurbished. Safety: I feel safe Walkability: To bus stops and subways. Kensington Park just acrossed! Food & drinks: Next road which is great - away from the rowdy noises
We booked 4 days but had to leave after 1. Room and sheets was dirty. We were in a 3 person room and it was so small you hardly turn around - pictures are misleading. A security light in the room kept us up all night. The worst was that despite informing them them at 5 am of the issues and would be checking out that day, they still forced us to pay an additional day as a cancellation charge. Very disappointed. Rooms: Three person rooms are too small for 3 people.
Difficult booking system. We tried to book 2 rooms with twin beds, website won't give us the option to specify preference for the second room. Upon check in, we didnt get a room with twin beds, had to go back to Reception to request again. Secondly, we arrived London one night early, tried to shift booking 1 day early and staying the same room nights. Hotel staff kept delaying confirmation on the change. On day of check out told us they can't process the change and charged us one extra night. No flexibility at all. Don't think we will return to this hotel. Noteworthy details: Hotel staff were not flexible with booking. We won't recommend this hotel. Not good customer services.
Great location close to two different tube stations. The staff help us with an umbrella for the weather changes. Very nice people la and the breakfast is tastyRooms: 5/5
A wonderful hotel in a great location with helpful, friendly and professional staff - far superior to numerous other similar priced hotels in the area. A stones throw from Hyde Park and Queensway / Bayswater tube stations and a multitude of restaurants - looking forward to my next visit. Rooms: Lovely clean rooms, beautifully decorated with everything provided - toiletries, hair dryer, iron and ironing board plus the all essential air conditioning. Each floor was served by a lift. Safety: set on a quiet side street off the very busy Bayswater Road - suffice to say, having been witness to a nasty phone snatch in broad daylight whilst on my way to the hotel, it is critical to be aware of your surroundings and to be constantly alert. Sad to say this warning now applies to all parts of London. Walkability: Fifteen minute walk from Paddington Station and ten minutes to Queensway and Bayswater tubes. Hyde Park is three minutes walk away. Many, many restaurants in the vicinity of Queensway and Bayswater tubes.
