COMO The Halkin is everything a hotel should be and a shining example of what other hotels could only dream of emulating. The staff was kind, helpful and knowledgeable. From the moment we checked in, we were treated with the utmost respect and courtesy. The gentleman who brought us room service on our first night at 10pm was extremely nice and friendly and everyone we interacted with was supremely polite. The room itself was the pinnacle of luxury. We were upgraded to a Belgravia suite and it puts most other hotel rooms to shame. It was perfectly laid out, quiet and spacious. We didn’t hear a single sound from the street outside or other guests during our stay. The bathroom was luxurious and clean with fabulous amenities. A short walk from Hyde park on a quiet street, we found it to be quite central to many of the London hotspots without being too close to the action and noise of other locations. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and it will be the only hotel we stay at during our trips to London in the future and we can’t wait to come back and stay longer. A huge thank you to the staff and management for making our honeymoon in the city so special.
I just had a drink in the bar. The gin and tonic was excellent and it was very good location for chat. Like lots of places in London the barmen were not easy to get the attention of. But apart from that it was very good.Service: 4/5
The Halkin has a great location in the Embassy district. The rooms are luxurious yet would benefit from an update. The breakfast is ok but the service operates at snail’s pace. Guaranteed checkout times are subject to availability and hence worthless. Formerly a great location but not anymore.Rooms: 4/5
I booked the Belgravia suite and was upgraded to the top-of-the-line Como suite which was spacious and comfortable with a nice terrace. The noise and temperature control in the room and the building is very nice. The furnishing was adequate and elegant, nicely integrated with the atmosphere of the central London neighborhood. The hotel is on a quiet street a few minutes walk away from Hyde park. Rooms: The suite was elegantly decorated with nice colors and very good climate and noise control. Nearby activities: Close to Hyde park and Bond street.
Upscale, boutique style luxury hotel. Wonderful service and staff. Located on a quiet street next to other high-end hotels. Close to underground stations but also walkable. Rooms are well-appointed with comfortable luxuries like slippers and robes; refreshed/cleaned again in evenings; much larger than typical European hotel. Spectacularly clean bathrooms and fragrant full-size toiletries. One small less-positive feedback I have is regarding the shower curtains. Very difficult to maneuver and almost slipped in bathtub trying to wrangle it.
I stayed here many years ago when it first opened. Subsequently, it has recently gone through a renovation by the COMO group of hotels. I was a bit skeptical at first since I remember thinking it was a lovely place and not sure what changes could have been made. I am delighted to say it is gorgeous. Staff and service are absolutely outstanding. And I love the location. On a quiet street in Belgravia, but walking distance to Knightsbridge, the shops on Piccadilly, the V&A, and more. Perfect West End location. And rooms are updated and extremely comfortable with a beautiful aesthetic. Safety: Feels very safe tucked away in a residential neighborhood, but walking distance to shops, changing of the guard, etc.
By far the quietest city hotel we have ever stayed in! Perfect location for us as we needed to be near Cleveland Clinic and so easy to walk in Hyde Park. Excellent service. We would highly recommend.Rooms: 5/5
The Halkin is truly my favorite hotel in London. The friendly and attentive staff, the modern, comfortable rooms and the great food - especially breakfast - makes The Halkin my go-to home away from home in London.Rooms: 5/5
This is actually a review for afternoon tea at the Halkin bar. I brought my Mum there for Mother's day and let me say the experience was absolutely out of this world. We loved every bit of it from start to finish. We were so warmly welcomed and were given such special treatment by the amazing people there. The food was an incredible and an exotic twist on afternoon tea. It was so interesting to see the presentation of everything which was so photo worthy so we had our cameras out before we tucked in to enjoy the wealth of flavours of what was on offer. You could tell just how much care and talent went into making it. Pretty much everything tasted amazing as well! But what really makes this place stand out - apart from the food and stylish decor - is the people there who make it all possible. Special thanks to Andras and Deborah who went to endless lengths to make sure we were well looked after every step of the way. You will not be forgotten. Another big thank you also to Neuza, Claudio and Mario who all were all so friendly and engaging throughout, it all just radiates throughout this very special place. Needless to say my Mum absolutely loved the experienced as did I. If there's one place you come to stay in London, make it this, make it COMO: The Halkin. It is an experience like no other.
Met friends and enjoyed a unique afternoon tea. Superb experience with a fantastic Maitre D who was so professional and attentive. An absolute must.Service: 5/5
