Absolutely massive hotel, there is public parking just at the back of the hotel too. Didnt use any of the facilities other than the room. Room was big and clean but slightly cold it did snow on visit no temperature gauge to adjust. Overall pleasant stay.
Rooms clean but no heating only in shower room secondary glazing doesn't fit in windows properly so allows cold air in all day several complaints about heating only to be told they dont heat during the day only from 6pm to 6 am well there was none in our room and several others although corridors were always warm . The food was absolutely rank mist of the time the roast potatoes I think if you took a golf club to them they woukd not have come to much harm . No room service either ive never stayed at a hotel like this before and I won't return it's a shame as a grade 11 listed building it is beautiful inside.
I came here with my daughter solely to stay in this iconic hotel, it did not disappoint. Yes the room wasn't 5star but they had everything we needed, it was clean, warm and spacious. The actual building was stunning and the staff we encountered were lovely and one lovely young gent even gave me and my daughter a tour of the banqueting suite. If you love history and old buildings or even have a love of the paranormal we certainly felt like we wasn't alone I couldn't recommend this place enough. I would definitely come back again.
It’s always been on my bucket list to stay there I love old hotels full of character.nnI had a lovely stay and the staff were great.nnYes, it was a bit noisy at night, but hey it’s located slap-bang in the middle of one of the most vibrant and exciting cities in the world. You have to savor the atmosphere.nnThank you to the staff and management.
Best hotel we have ever stayed in.. Ali on reception has gone aboth and beyond for us. amazing staff so friendly and helpful and location you just can't get better.. parking nice and easy right at the back of hotel.. room was lovely for was great. this place really made our trip as it was my missus birthday would like to send a precial thankyou to Ali on reception for everything and all the staff..THANKYOU SO MUCH..
