I recently stayed at Adagio Liverpool City Centre, and it was a wonderful experience. One of the best features was the complimentary luggage storage, which allowed me to explore the city without any hassle before check-in. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The front desk not only stored my luggage but also enthusiastically shared tips on the best tourist spots in Liverpool, which made my sightseeing much easier and more enjoyable. The breakfast service was another highlight. The lively and cheerful staff in the dining area instantly lifted my spirits each morning, making for a great start to the day. While the room was fairly standard, it was clean and comfortable. The overall service and vibrant atmosphere of Liverpool made up for it, leaving me with the impression that this city is one of the best in the England.
*EDIT* The hotel have responded saying I've had a "direct response from the property" - I haven't. When we arrived about 11 pm the door was locked. Nobody answered the door, even though we'd said we'd be late arriving. Luckily a guest let us in. Eventually a receptionist came down & he was very helpful, and helped us with our luggage. Sadly we didn't see him the rest of our stay, and the receptionists we did see didn't even acknowledge us! Breakfast was just 'ok' - a small variety of things, but certainly not worth the money. Room was OK - decent size, mainly clean but cutlery was dirty. Shower was big but doesn't drain quickly so you have to stop it half way through so you don't flood the bathroom! Kitchenette was good but we couldn't reach the kitchen utensils like the toaster. I would say security is a bit lacking in that guests let each other in and out because there's never anyone sat at the reception desk! Also, it doesn't seem to be on the safest of areas - very quiet lane in front of the hotel where we saw lots of drug dealing take place. I wouldn't stay there as a single woman. It's right in the thick of the Irish bars, so if that's your thing then great. It was way too loud for me outside as someone with autistic sensory issues, though luckily there was barely any noise once in the room with the doors closed. I probably wouldn't choose to stay again...I'd probably choose a better quality hotel for the same price but just slightly outside the centre, though it was adequate for a 2 night stay for a singing workshop. Nearby activities: In the thick of all the action such as bars. Great if you like it, awful if you don't! So incredibly loud in vicinity. I've never seen such a lot of broken glass, urine, vomit and excrement on the pavements. Gross! Safety: Not the safest of locations. Lane runs in front of and behind hotel entrance. I witnessed drug dealing. Walkability: Next to Lime Street Station. We parked in Mount Pleasant 24 hour council car park, which is totally free if you're a Blue Badge holder. It's about a 5 minute walk away. Food & drinks: Hotel breakfast not the best. Everything seemed a bit lack-lustre and not the freshest.
We stayed in a lovely studio apartment which was clean and very well appointed with its own kitchen. Heating was iffy and we were immediately given a radiator which made the place warm and toasty. Staff were very friendly and helpful with suggestions as to where to eat etc. Breakfasts are buffet style and included cooked food with fresh eggs available on request. The hotel is near to two railway stations. Liverpool Lime Street is about 7 minutes walk and the hotel is right opposite Liverpool Central, one of the local stations. There is no parking directly at the hotel but car parks are nearby. Taxis to the Albert Docks area were very reasonably priced. Special mention to the following staff who made our stay very enjoyable: Piotr, Lucia, Rachel and James. We will be back and highly recommend this hotel. Rooms: Lovely apartments with well appointed kitchen. Nearby activities: Excellent location for pubs, restaurants in Bold Street and attractions. Near to stations - right opposite Liverpool Central for local stations. Food & drinks: Good buffet breakfast for continental and cooked food. Fresh eggs available on request. Noteworthy details: Friendly, helpful staff. 2 lifts in the hotel. 24 hour reception
So firstly I booked this hotel through secret escapes as it was rated excellent. My experience was far from that. The air conditioning in the room was stuck in winter and we couldn’t get it changed until the following morning. When they did change it, it would only go down to 18 and when you left the room you had to take your key and it went off. So the room was boiling all the time. The iron supplied in the room was rubbish it ruined my partner’s new designer tshirt. The hair dryer was poor even the one supplied from reception and there was no plug in the room in a location where you could see the mirror with a hairdryer. The tv didn’t work properly at all. Half the channels didn’t work and the guide was none existent. It states a coffee machine in the room one of the reasons I booked this hotel as I like a coffee when I wake up and then we found out the pods aren’t supplied and are £10 for 10. They don’t sell them in smaller numbers. The towels were tiny definitely not what I would expect. The shower had 0 water pressure and felt pointless. I feel for the price I paid I would definitely not stay there again. Would not recommend. I do have to say however the staff were lovely and very accommodating
Brilliant location, staff really friendly. We had an apartment for 4 people which was really well laid out - consisted of 2 single beds in the bedroom and a double pull out sofa bed in the living room. Good wardrobe and lots of room to store clothes & toiletries. Apartment was spotless, great views over the city and plenty of room for 4 adults. Liked the way you could partition the bedroom off to the living room so not to disturb anyone and still access the kitchen and bathroom, kitchen is great too with a massive fridge! Will definitely be booking again!! Thanks!!
Room was nice, clean and really centrally located, and the staff was so incredible. My original hotel was overbooked, so we ran over to Aparthotel Adagio hoping to find some last second accommodations at 10:30 PM after a long train ride to Liverpool. We were offered water, a place to sit to call Expedia and figure out if they’d cover us at this hotel, and a lot of kind words after a pretty difficult day. HUGE shoutout to Shaun working the front desk for saving our sanity.
Location was central to Lime street station and the city centre. Staff extremely friendly. Studio was spacious, quiet and provided us with everything we needed.Rooms: 5/5
What a wonderful stay! Great location, wonderful team and property was appointed well - family of 4 and we had the right amount of space. Highly recommend! Would def recommend this property and will be back! Rooms: Great rooms Nearby activities: Near the water
Hotel very well ubicated, the service was amazing, and the rooms are awesome, big and comfy, breakfast its okRooms: 5/5
Aparthotel saved our trip to Liverpool! When another hotel lost our booking close to midnight on the eve of a Liverpool FC match day, we went to Aparthotel and were greeted and taken care of amazingly by Piotr who gave us all the time we needed to deal with Expedia and the other hotel while holding a booking for us on standby. Shaun was fantastic enough to ensure we got a room upgrade with enough beds for our travel party. Apart from the hotel being spotless and central, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort after another hotel’s blunder!
