Dog friendly pub. Warm welcome by staff and other drinkers - close where we were staying.
We visited the Blink Bonny on Tuesday 27June 2022 for the first time as we were touring our caravan at piping park caravan and motorhome site in the village. The pub is open every day from 12 noon and we got a warm welcome from Margaret the land lady and regulars. There was a good range of beers available at very reasonable prices with Black Sheep and 1664 being our chosen tipples. Beer and larger where dead on so we had to have another one at least! It was at this point that we realised that we had insufficient funds ie cash as they didn’t take card, no problem Margaret let us pay when we had cash. This takes me back to the good old days when people had trust. We paid the what we owed the next day and had a few more beers to boot. Wonderful pub with lovely regulars who made us very welcome. Well what can say! It's a proper village pub. Very welcoming landlady and landlord. The local regulars were really friendly. If I lived round here this would be my place to go. We had hoped to call in for a meal but they don't do food anymore. It's an old coaching Inn which dates back years. If you want modern can't hear yourself talk don't want to interact with locals n staff then stay away but if you you want a lovely evening spent with a great bunch head on in.
Brilliant. Just popped in for a pint after a long drive. They don't take plastic but served us anyway and said come back tomorrow and pay. Very friendly.Service: 4/5

Old style Country pub. No frills, no gimmicks. Friendly staff. Went with family who have been going there since they weren't old enough to!

We made so many friends here. Margaret the landlady was fantastic, the regulars were so welcoming they made our stay extra special. We will be going back if only to see everyone again. Thank you all so much.Location: 5/5
