I have been here 2 years in a row and the gentleman that runs the bed and breakfast is so very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is a excellent, a full English, toast and cereal. A lovely view from our room to the old Castle.Would highly recommend staying.

The B&B is in a very convenient spot, with lovely surroundings. As soon as you walk in the door you are made to feel at home, so all I can say is obviously any bad reviewers were expecting a sterile boring hotel room. John was lovely, welcoming and helpful, and even left out some art based books for me in my room to look through when he found out I was interested in art. Although it is a shared bathroom it was clean and tidy. The cooked breakfast was delicious, and John was very accommodating with me leaving my bags the morning I arrived to look around Winchester as I arrived on an early flight. Overall a homely place with a great host, and I hope to visit again!

Mr John is very nice, i had a great breakfast and the room has absolutely everything. I felt very much at home.

Mr John Holder is the nicest landlord you can find. Staying here means you feel like your part of the family. Best room? The Yellow Room overviewing the Wolvesey Castle ruins and with the cathedral in sight. Calm area just nu the River Itchen. Highly recommended!
