First time here. Good.location just on the edge of Winchester a 10 min walk. Staff were ever helpful and polite. My room was clean and a decent size. Would prefer a walking shower than the bath/shower arrangement.
Convenient location from the M3 and a reasonable walk to the city highlights. Large superstore very nearby should that be required.nCar parking has camera security and some parking slots are covered. There is a charge which was not immediately obvious on arrival. Single machine on way into ground floor entrance. Charges were plated as £7 per day, but this now seems to valve been reduced to only £3.nA very reasonable charge considering location. Of note, is that the Fire Station is adjacent, so maybe some occasional emergency noises.nGreat staff and dining.nOnly gripe is the paucity of usb charging in the room. Taking a charger seems mandatory !!
Noise seems to transmit easily from other rooms, so no going to sleep until your neighbours do. Allows bicycles in rooms, which is great. It did have the bonus of free parking, even for a few days, but I think that's finished now. Ideal base for doing a bike ride such as South Downs Way or King Alfred Way. Breakfast is pretty good, but doesn't start early enough if you want to make the most of summer daylight.
Clean comfortable room. Friendly staff excellent sirloin steak cooked perfectly. Very close to Winchester city centre and not too far from a couple of National trust properties
Good, room clean, restaurant is reasonable.nExcellent choice, staff are friendly.nOnly down thing are the gay pride flags at the entrance.nThese should be removed by now and replaced by British flags instead.
