I absolutely do not recommend ordering from Uber Eats, especially due to the people fulfilling the orders. On several occasions my orders were incorrect because of the staff, and Uber refused to refund me. The biggest shock, however, was receiving tomatoes that were moldy - there was a large patch of mold clearly visible through the packaging!
I am deeply disappointed by my repeated experiences at Waitrose West Ealing - 2 Alexandria Rd. As a Black customer, I have consistently felt singled out, scrutinised, and treated with unwarranted suspicion.nnMost recently, while purchasing a Glade refill, I asked a simple question about whether the “2 for £7” offer was mix-and-match or required two of the same item. Instead of answering straightforwardly, the attendant immediately responded with visible suspicion, questioning where I had taken the product from before even addressing the promotion. The tone and body language suggested she assumed wrongdoing rather than treating me as a paying customer asking a normal question.nnThis is not an isolated incident. On previous visits — including when collecting an Amazon parcel — I experienced similar treatment: prolonged staring, monitoring, and an overall sense of being watched rather than welcomed. No customer should feel as though they are under surveillance simply for shopping.nnWaitrose presents itself as a premium retailer that values customer service and community. However, repeatedly making customers feel racially profiled or implicitly accused undermines that image entirely. Everyone deserves to shop without feeling judged or treated as a suspect.nnI hope management takes these concerns seriously and invests in proper staff training around unconscious bias and respectful customer engagement. Until meaningful change is evident, it is difficult to recommend this location.
Kinda standard as a posh supermarket. Staff professional but not particularly friendly. Good range of things that are also more expensive than in other places. Car park is a good size. Meh
I had such a long and tiring day at work. I had been driving the whole day and made a quick pit stop at my local Waitrose - West Ealing branch to pick up essentials. I practically stumbled into the self check out area my arms full of goods where Mary honestly came to my rescue. She helped me scan and bag all my items with so much kindness and care.nMary is a true gem and an absolute sweetheart. She made me feel genuinely looked after and treated like a VIP. Customer service like this makes a real difference, and I’m so grateful to her for turning my day around. I’m writing this review with one eye open because I genuinely felt compelled to share how much this meant to me.
Fresh bread in the morning! You can always bank on great quality goods at Waitrose!
