This beautifully restored art deck cinema in Regent Street was featured by Robert Elms on one of his Saturday BBC radio London shows. Think it used to be part of the L.S.E. Happened to be in the West end on the opening day so popped in to a shiny, gorgeous black bar for a coffee to take in to the Art Deco cinema. I watched old black & white BBC Arena newsreels from the 1950' s - ........on. What a delight, especially as I was by myself on a rainy day in London.

Amazing atmosphere and comfortable seats. Steep enough so that the view is completely clear. Special nights with refreshments are always well organized, might need to book in advance to find place though. Really wish it was a little bit cheaper, as I would then always be there.

Amazing historical cinema. Nice little bar and glamorous interiors. Well worth a visit. Seats are comfortable but the last three rows are very high, avoid them for a good view.

Compared to how it looked before renovations, I think the interior is a good blend of classic design with a modern touch. The cinema is small but during the times I've visited has never been full and my friends and I have usually had a whole row to ourselves. I like this as it doesn't feel like your typical cinema visit and on the whole, more enjoyable. Sometimes I wish they showed more recent releases as that's what I find more appealing.

It is very cool and refreshing to sit in a cinema that is for the chic. The films are all independent.
