Watching The Odyssey in 70mm IMAX at the BFI IMAX was an unforgettable cinematic experience—stunning visuals, incredible sound, and total immersion from start to finish.nThe large-format film presentation makes every frame feel epic and truly showcases why Nolan insists on IMAX 70mm.nA must-watch if you get the chance—this is cinema at its absolute best.
Paid £25 per seat to watch Michael and although it was pricey, it was most definately worth it for such an epic viewing. We sat in the middle, up in row K and those seats were perfect. The sound was phenomenal. Would definately use Imax again for another movie that deserves the biggest screen for viewing.
Came here to watch project hail Mary. The movie was fantastic, there's good selection of sweets before you enter, the screen is huge vertically and the sound is immersive.nnBut there is barely ANY leg room, the seats are so small and very uncomfortable. When someone has to get past, you have to stand up, let the seat fold, as there's barely any room. I accidentally bumped into the guy sat behind me, that's how close the seats are.nThe outside of the cinema is also really rundown and the toilets are OK.nStaff are wonderful. But I prefer vue printworks in Manchester over BFI, if I'm being honest.
What a great experience watching “Project Hail Mary”, absolute nice staff, and a great Sound with the best Screening I ever had in a cinema!nI would recommend it for everyone who wants a truly unique cinematographic experience and a comforting time in a Movie.
Been quite a few times recently, and am now a member. Can’t believe it’s taken me this long before I first visited. The cinema itself - audio and visual are stunning. The screen is so good when watching imax filmed content seen the Odyssey prologue 3 times now and everytime is breathtaking. Have sat around rows G and H, centrally and towards side of the centre and all really good. Great for movies in the way they’re intended and can’t wait to watch next imax movie / go to an event there.nnHowever, whilst the leg room is fine, it is very tight and not any space apart from under seat to keep belongings. And cinema goers in these close confines could really do with better personal hygiene - I’ve had to have my t shirt on my nose twice now as there’s been bad whiffs!nnAlso if you are in middle of the aisle - very difficult to get to toilet during film - and this is BFIs fault, they make people ruin others experiences and immersion.nnAlso, the facilities - particularly the toilets - for a place that apparently was refurbished, are dreadful. Low toilets, poorly maintained.nnAnd then getting to the cinema itself - you have to walk through the outdoor toilet subways - what a way to put people off before getting in. Not sure if BFI can do anything about this - but spend on the entire customer experience should be considered.nnStaff generally nice and their announcers at the start are usually fairly fun too - well done.
