Terribly small rooms, beds squished between two walls, so it was nearly possible to fit there and I am not very tall, in some rooms toilet/bathroom is placed in the entrance of the room, using is is quite impossible without flooding everything. Located near Victoria station, so if someone needs to be close to the city center, this place might be a solution. But I wouldn't recommend it for a comfortable stay in London.
Only a 20 minute walk from Buckingham palace/St James park, and only a 10 minute walk from the closest tube station, so it's decently central. The receptionists were friendly on the few times we had to interact with them. The staircase is fairly narrow, which made me glad I only had a rucksack as luggage rather than a suitcase. The bathroom being how you enter the room was a bit of a surprise. It was clean, if not a bit cramped, with the shower right next to the toilet so it would be easy to bump into it whilst washing. The room itself was decently clean main downside in that regard was a very dusty fan. The carpet and curtains could do with being replaced as they were a bit worn, and the walls could do with having a bit of a clean/lick of paint. Nice hotel if you want somewhere just to sleep/get ready and don't intend to spend too much time there.
Slightly odd layout, you pass through the small shower room to enter the sleeping area. The room was clean but a little tired. Great location and cheap for the location. Ten minutes walk to Pimlico area and short hop to Westminster. Plenty of pubs and restaurants close by. Easy access to the tube too.Rooms: 3/5
Look, il be honest...we booked this place for a night away, paid £80 for pretty much Central London, everywhere in walking distance or a jump on tube. Sorted. Then I started looking at reviews online and quite frankly, I was having palpitations putting that key in the door! dreading whatever horrors would be inside... BUT we were pleasantly surprised! The room is basic, that's a given, it's £80 in the middle of London, be realistic & yes, it DEFINITELY needs decorating but you know what? It's clean! The bathroom is SPOTLESS and the beds are pretty comfy! So no complaints here, you get what you pay for at the end of the day. I do think going off the other reviews it depends on what room you get given but if you don't like it, just ask for a different one or ask for the cleaner to go back in...ours is absolutely fine for what we paid! We're happy. Walkability: Everything is pretty near by or the tube is also in walking distance.
Do NOT stay here…there are plenty of hotels on the same street which we had to go. This is NOT a hotel, it is a guest house lower than your average European B&B The pictures here are misleading….we booked for 2 nights but when we arrived to check in, we were shocked. The entrance was narrow, smelly and the aisle was dirty…..so we decided to see the room before checking in - It was like a dungeon in the basement with almost no air flow and stuffy….we asked for another room, and I kid you not….to access this other room, we had to go through a bathroom. I kindly asked the receptionist for a refund, which he said he couldn’t, gave me the “hote support number “ which also said she couldn’t and told me to contact Expedia who fair to them tried to contact the “unreliable and unreasonable “ hotel management to get a refund. in sum this dump of a place that call themselves a “hotel” didn’t provide my refund and I had to pay another hotel somewhere else otherwise we wouldn’t be able to breathe properly
I knew for knew price not to expect much, I could deal with the small room, but... No AC, just a small fan. Small bathroom, but the WHOLE THING FLOODS when showering, everything was soaked. Door key lock was broken, asked about it and said they would contact the manager, never heard back, when I went up later I asked them and they said oh, yeah, called the manager, someone would be by the next day to look at it, after we left. To get in we had to have the clerk come down to the basement to let us in. One bed was smaller than the other and my feet were dangling off I'm only 6 feet. Mattress was very hard. TV was smaller than a laptop screen.
Worst hotel I have ever been in my life and the most awkward room ever. To start as soon as we entered, the receptionist asked for more money than we already were charged as he considered the room value was more than we were offered online, I had to be clear that we were not willing to pay more than we were charged online. Then we arrived in the bedroom, and we were in shock of the crazy, dangerous layout. The entrance is the shower!! The toilet, shower, entrance corridor and sink are in a tiny space all togehter, so of course the floor to get out from the bedroom is flooded as the floor doesn't even have the level to let the water drain. The hotel really is expensive for what they offer... the list of disappointment is long, but I just mentioned these main 2 points
The room was stuffy, and the bathroom had a distinct choking smell, more like a chemical smell. Not forgetting the mould on the bathroom door frame and bathroom ceiling.Rooms: 2/5
You get what you pay for in London. Very small but it’s ok if you just want a get cleaned and sleep. No room for anything else. Don’t take big luggage. Very clean and tidy. A little mishap happened but was quickly rectified by a member of staff.
I had a dreadful stay at this hotel: - radiator wouldn't turn off so we had to have the window open for the 2 nights, when I asked the reception staff about this they said it had a knob to turn, I informed them this wasn't working, he looked at me blankly and said 'this is all' hinting for me to just leave it. - the bed was ridiculously springy and clearly hasn't been changed in a very long time, we might as well have been sleeping on rocks. - I know it is a small room but things have been poorly laid out in comparison to other budget hotels. - the hotel itself was extremely warm - we get it's cold outside but that doesn't mean we need the heating on at 30 degrees inside. - we had a very quick turn around and missed surprising a friend for a 30th birthday meal, we would have been on time but our door key didn't work, this added another 10/15 minutes onto our arrival. The only decent thing about this hotel is it is close to a tube station 10 min walk and thus the rest of the city, however it would have been cheaper and comfier to pay for a parking space and sleep in the car.
