This is an adorable little hotel. The whole staff is wonderful; they are extremely polite, friendly and helpful. They left a great impression of British people on me. They made us feel like the Queen and King of England. Also, there are several great restaurants nearby the hotel. I love this hotel.Rooms: 5/5
Very welcoming place with a Spanish touch for breakfast. The room was class, and the hotel is located in a great area loved the Duke of York pub across the road. There was some noisy work going on in the daytime while we were there, and a film crew around the corner making a movie we presume. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.Rooms: 5/5
A lovely little traditional hotel in the best location for exploring London. Excellent staff, comfortable rooms and good breakfast. The building noise was minimal. That and the scaffolding didn’t affect our stay at all. We also had a complimentary wine/beer, which was a lovely touch. We would stay there again.
We choose The Rathbone Hotel as our group hotel for our wedding and we were not disappointed! From the moment we arrived, the staff took total care of us, from little touches in our rooms, to ad-hoc requests, they were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The whole event went really well, and the hotel staff played a huge part in the success. The hotel is fantastically located, with the ceremony venue and reception venue being very close by. Charlotte Street also has a huge number of very high quality restaurants. We had booked around 10 rooms in total ranging from single rooms to suites, and they were all very comfortable, well maintained and good value. The breakfast was also very nice. Good spread and good quality. Thank you so much for everything you did for us, the gifts and your kindness. If we need to stay around Fitrovia again, we will certainly choose your hotel as our number one option.
Nice little historical hotel in the West End area of London. The service staff members were all very attentive to our needs during our weeklong stay. The welcoming and quaint little lobby area reminds you of being in your living room with a built in bar added. Rooms: Our room was nice but not extravagant. Nearby activities: Lots of things available within blocks of the hotel. Especially the underground subway. Walkability: Within walking distance of a lot of restaurants, pubs, bakeries& shops. Noteworthy details: The corner pub next door tends to dump their glass bottles out early in the morning. Could be very noisy and bothersome if you're a late sleeper. Check to see if the exterior construction scaffold is still up was in Aug 2024. Not a pleasant view from inside or outside.
The Rathbone Hotel proved to be an excellent choice for my quick trip to London. From the moment I stepped through the door, the staff's warm welcome made me feel instantly at home. This friendly atmosphere was further enhanced by the thoughtful touch of a personalized welcome letter waiting in my room. While I only had the pleasure of staying one night, the comfortable bed ensured a restful sleep, and the hotel's central location made exploring the city a breeze. With its inviting ambiance and impeccable service, the Rathbone Hotel left a lasting positive impression, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone seeking a charming and convenient stay in the heart of London.
We had such a wonderful stay at The Rathbone Hotel. The staff were fantastic. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and when we returned to our room, we were surprised with a personalised card and a small bottle of prosecco - such a thoughtful touch! It's rare to find that level of personal service these days, and it really made our stay special. The location is ideal, just a short walk from Oxford Street and Leicester Square. We’ll definitely be staying here again. Thanks to the whole team! Rooms: We booked a classic double room, which was a good size and came with all the essentials, including a kettle, shower gel, body lotion, and more.
I am surprised this place is a 4 star rated Hotel. I have to say the staff and the location are 5/5 and perfect. Now when it comes to the rooms and the quality this was just surprising. I had hair in my tub, the carpet was stained, cracked tile through the bathroom, water damage on walls, the furniture although is "classic" it was old and would benefit form some refreshing, no plugs by the bed, no mini fridge which is ok. It reminded me of motel rooms I have stayed at when I was younger. To top it off they tried charging me for breakfast meals I had not signed up for or eaten, which they resolved.
Great location, but otherwise our experience was quite mediocre. Stayed for a long weekend. Room had an older style, which is fine, but was also somewhat dated and worn. Bathroom was clean, but tiny and old. Towels were shedding and the bath mat had a yellow tinge to it, which wasn't great. There was also a strange recurring noise audible, possibly from a nearby service elevator, that luckily stopped during the night. Didn't try the restaurant, in part because the breakfast looked quite sad. Staff were friendly and quick to respond.
Excellent stay at the Rathbone. Exceeded all expectations. Great location. Room was dark, bed was comfortable. Room was comfortable. Coffee was delicious. Breakfast was simple but perfect for our needs & very much appreciated. Staff was helpful, friendly & attentive. Room was a good price. The excellent experience at the Rathbone made our first visit to London all the more special. So glad we chose to stay here. Would not hesitate to recommend!
