Loveliest hotel. A very friendly and helpful staff. Everyone shows care in what they do. Met the owner and she made our stay extra special with kindness and attention. Would recommend. Breakfasts were a delightful start to every day. The free tea, coffee and hot chocolates in the front lounge were the perfect way to finish the day after hours of touring London. If you’re looking for a home type stay with service, this is it!
Very genuine British hotel in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood. Basic but very nice and clean rooms with great beds not the worn out mattresses we often experienced in other traditional hotels and brand new bathroom. All the staff, especially at breakfast, were outstandingly friendly, attentive and caring, also for our young child. Traditional full English breakfast was served and was very good, and the team made sure everyone is happy. I absolutely loved this charming hotel. The two points I loved the most is the cleanness and the calm of this hotel. It is also well situated. The young man at the reception is very helpful. The breakfast is nice with lovely tables. I appreciated being served at the table.Rooms: 5/5
A great location from which London sightseeing is at your fingertips. The hop on/off bus is a 15/20 minutes walk away. The rooms are basic but super clean and warm. The most outstanding thing about the Ridgemont other than the wonderful breakfasts, is the staff. Nothing was ever too much trouble. I believe that this is one of the last family owned hotels in the area, and it shines. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful.
Everytime I'm in London I stay here. The staff is incredibly kind and always bring a smile to my face. The complimentary breakfast in the morning is wonderful. The rooms are always very clean and comfortable. And the location is perfect. Close to multiple tube stations, in walking distance to many London attractions, and even has a Waterstones across the street.
My husband and I stayed at The Ridgemount Hotel in May 2024. We traveled from Texas, USA and received a friendly welcome. We arrived at the same time as another family, and the hotel employee was very gracious and patient as he helped everyone get situated. The women who clean the rooms and who work the breakfast area also need to be mentioned for their good service. Our room was cozy and comfortable, with an en suite bathroom. London in May is pleasant weather, so we kept the window open to our room for our entire stay. The hotel is very near to two Tube stations, Goodge and Russell Square, so we had easy access to all of London. We will return to the Ridgemount Hotel on a future trip to London.
Ridgemount Hotel has clean and comfortable rooms and a tasty and filling breakfast. An easy and nice walk to the British Museum or to the Underground for whatever else you might want to visit. Every staff member I interacted with was helpful, pleasant, and efficient. I will stay here again.Rooms: 5/5
Loved: the location, the comfortable beds and clean sheets, Vidhya so kind and helpful and Harry at the reception, Katia and the whole staff at breakfast amazing and kind. . Didn’t love: small room, no air conditioning, no window-screen, broken fan in bathroom, shower soap/shampoo smells like dish detergent. Side note: Breakfast is abundant, but no buffet, so you waste time between ordering what you want and getting it. Buffet would be better.
Great little hotel, perfectly positioned for Euston station and all London attractions, it is situated away from the hustle and bustle and by the university so it feels safe with children even later on at night. The staff are friendly, welcoming and very helpful. On arrival we were given helpful advice which helped to plan our day and on check out we were able to store our bags for free, collecting them on the way back to Euston, when once again we were made welcome and allowed to rest up for a while on the comfy sofas with the complimentary hot drinks. We had a family en suite room which was very clean and comfortable, and much nicer than the online photos, the bathroom is fabulous! Breakfast was good, cereal and a typical English breakfast with plentiful tea and toast, once again the staff in the breakfast room were friendly, helpful and attentive. This was our first stay in London, the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of the Ridgemount along with it’s location means it will be our go-to choice of accommodation when we book our next trip which we are already planning. Thank you for a lovely stay. Rooms: Very clean and comfortable, some road noise at the front, but we did have the windows open, it’s not on an overly busy road so it didn’t bother us too much Nearby activities: Euston Station 10 minutes walk away, River Thames 20 minutes, theatres from 10 minutes away Safety: Felt very safe both in the hotel and the surrounding area, stayed with our 12 year old Walkability: Ideal location for reaching sights by tube or on foot Food & drinks: Good breakfast included with stay
I rarely leave a review but with the renovated rooms you can’t easily find this price-quality balance in central London with the price from the hotel’s website will definitely be coming backRooms: 5/5
