We stayed four nights April 1 to 4, 2024. Although the room was crowded with two comfy chairs in it, I appreciated having the chairs. The bed was very comfortable and the room quiet. Breakfast is great with full English Breakfast available in addition to cereal, bananas and yogurt. The location is ideal for British Museum, access to underground and rail, and a variety of businesses. Waterstones is only two blocks away. For warmer weather, a lovely garden with seating is off the back of hotel. Will be staying here again in future. Noteworthy details: The garden at back of hotel is lovely with seating available.
The Jesmond Hotel provided a great base for our time in London. The hot and cold breakfast choices were simple, but enjoyable; the staff are very attentive. For 2 adults and 3 teens, the quint room was more spacious than expected. Easy walk to transport and shops. The bathroom was a little small, but was cleaned daily.Rooms: 4/5
I stayed for only one night as a solo traveller and while the location and staff of the hotel were excellent, I had some issues regarding the room itself. For one thing, the shower was awful. No water pressure, impossible to find a comfortable temperature, and very difficult to figure out how to use it! Secondly, the bed sheets were very uncomfortable. Scratchy against the skin and with an odd smell. However, I do suffer from sensory difficulties so this may just be a me thing. I loved that there was coffee and tea available in the room, but the bathroom sink is so small that it was impossible to fill the kettle from the tap! Finally, the doors were very narrow, which I found difficult with a slightly larger than average build. Lots of bumps on the hips! On the other hand, the welcome staff and breakfast staff were incredibly attentive, the rooms were clean and in good repair, the breakfast was delicious with many options, and the location and walking distance from transport connections and attractions is fantastic!
I stayed in Jesmond hotel with my 12 years old daughter for 5 nights. The location is perfect, 5 min from British Museum and a lot of restaurants, and 15 min from King's Cross. The staff is very helpfull and makes your stay confortable. Rooms are clean and big enough for 2. There is a small garden with trees, highly recommanded to have a rest after a long day in museums. The breakfast is a real english breakfast, there are so many things to eat that you don't need to go to restaurant until the evening ! Next time I go to London I will come back in Jesmond Hotel !
Excellent quality, cleanliness and service! I was very pleased with my stay. The service was above and beyond; they really care about the guests of their hotel. The location was near so many great local bars, restaurants and transit options to easily move throughout the city. My room—their lowest cost offering—was small of course, but plenty of space for my comfort. The shared bathroom facilities were always very clean and pleasant to use. The daily breakfast was a lovely amenity that I really enjoyed. And gotta say it again, the staff was incredibly warm, hospitable and helpful.
I chose the Jesmond Hotel as my home base for a recent solo trip to London. On the whole I was pleased with my stay, and I would absolutely stay at the Jesmond again. The location is great! The neighborhood is very quiet and safe. As a woman traveling alone, I felt perfectly safe walking by myself late at night. It's within walking distance of the British Museum as well as the shops and restaurants on Tottenham Court Road. The nearest tube and bus stops are Goodge Street, which is just a 2-3 minute walk away. I booked the "Large Single En-Suite" room. The room was admittedly very small, but it was perfectly workable. My only complaints: the shower is very awkward. If you are a larger person, you will have issues getting in and out. Also, the placement of the showerhead - which is overhead - makes it awkward to wash your hair. The mattress in the room Room 5 also desperately needs to be replaced. There's a massive divot in the mattress which makes finding a comfy sleeping position a bit of a challenge. Having breakfast included at this price-point is incredible!! I wasn't a fan of the full English breakfast, but there were plenty of other options available and I certainly didn't leave hungry. Staff was polite and attentive. The common areas and my room were all clean, and the daily housekeeping was nice I live in America and daily housekeeping is no longer standard here. All in all I enjoyed my stay and will absolutely stay at the Jesmond Hotel again next time I'm in London!
We had a great stay at the Jesmond hotel, we were well and truly looked after by Vince. His customer service was exceptional. Fantastic breakfast too. Would recommend!Rooms: 5/5
Great location, super close to several train stations and within walking distance of many popular areas. The staff was very helpful, kind, and meticulous. My single room with bathroom was the perfect size for my solo trip, and the full english breakfast provided in the morning was a fantastic touch. Rooms were very clean to begin with and cleaned daily during my stay. Can't say enough great things!
Great location rooms clean nice garden out back where you can sit and meet other travellers.Dan and Vince where great hosts the breakfast was excellent would highly recommend it To anyone travelling to London Rooms: Room was a little small as there were 3 of us but we were only sleeping in there the rest of the time we were out or sitting in the garden Walkability: Very easy walk to shops and to the railway
Jesmond hotel is in a good location and yet on a quiet street. We got upgraded to a bigger room which was great for a family of five, so the two of us had a great space. We love the high ceiling room. Everything was cleaned and the service was great. Full English breakfast was excellent! Rooms: Spacious!
