My experience at this hotel was amazing from start to finish! Jade and Mantas were so attentive and lovely. The hotel is a great location and I would definitely stay here again. For my birthday the hotel even bought me a bottle of Prosecco and had cake in the roomRooms: 5/5
We decided to indulge ourselves with a break and planned a nice night out just for the two of us... and couldn't say anything but what a great idea. Hotel staff was really kind and friendly, and when talking about our stay there, we were gifted with an upgrade from our room to the WOW Suite... the name is fairly accurate indeed. Our weekend has been memorable, we cannot find enough words to say thanks, it is sure we have found our place for any future break. Thanks so much, you have made our weekend really special.
Very nice hotel but there was a mishap during our stay which the staff weren’t able to rectify.
Definitely not 5 star and if you book via their own Montcalm website, you'll end up being put in their 1 star sister hotel across the road, which is nothing more than a terraced house! Despite all the pictures on their website being the 5 star hotel, swanky reception area and beautiful rooms, when we arrived we were told our reservation was in the hotel across the road - a plain black door into a house! In there, the girl behind the small desk in the hallway couldn't find our booking either, despite me showing her our booking confirmation email and the price I'd paid, well over £500 for 2 nights. After 10 minutes sat waiting in the dining room, a small room which smelt of curry with 5 tables crammed in, plastic chairs, with staff members sat around us on their phones, I decided we weren't staying there and walked back across the road to the real Montcalm Hotel. I stated we expected to stay in the 5* main hotel, which was the hotel I had booked, using their own hotel website. Eventually they sorted us a room in the main hotel. This wasn't just 1 bad experience or booking mistake - at the same time our friends had booked a room via a third party booking site, and were speedily checked into their room in the main hotel. However, due to the train strikes, they'd added a third night onto their stay via the Montcalms' own website. Again, they were told their third night was booked in the hotel across the road and again, after refusing to stay in that hotel, their 2 day booking was extended to 3 days in their same room. So be warned and don't allow them to fob you off into their 'overflow' spare room house across the road, which would be lucky to attain 1 star rating. All that said, once we had our room sorted in the main hotel, our stay was lovely, the staff were really friendly, room was lovely and breakfast was as expected. However this is not a 5 star hotel - breakfast served until 11 o'clock - at 10.45 they started taking everything away, whilst we were still eating, by 11am they were hoovering the floor around our feet. After a lovely meal out in London, we returned to the hotel at about 11.15pm, the bar was closed. If you truly want a 5 star hotel, definitely choose a different one.
I had the perfect experience in here. I’m very happy with everything! Especially the staff. They were very helpful and understanding! As much as I tried like many hotels but i never been happier! I’ve been in London for 10 days and I booked only for 5 days so i can try out another hotel for the rest days but after the first 5 days my family loved it in here so I booked for the rest 5 days! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL if you want the best!
Went here for afternoon tea with a friend as I was given a voucher for Christmas. First thing I'd point out is that you have to ring up to book which is fine but they only take your name and email address but I never received a confirmation so had to ring up a few times to actually confirm that my booking existed. Hotel/restaurant is quite nice and in a good location. The afternoon tea itself is mediocre at best. Nothing stood out in any way shape or form that would entice me to return. The staff were friendly and we were seated quickly and attended to. The sandwiches were okay as were the cakes. The cream was just rock solid so both if us just ended up butchering the scones trying to put cream on them. Would not come back anytime soon as just not memorable.
This hotel is lovely and scenic. The reception was busy upon arrival but we were seen to quickly and attentively. Our room was lovely and spacious, with a mini bar and desk. The spa / pool & Jacuzzi area was perfect. The staff are extremely helpful and attentive. The room service was nice. The breakfast area is clean with COVID-19 measures. 5 star experience would certainly return. There is limited disabled parking at the front of the hotel but time restraints apply weekdays I believe.
Our stay was excellent, we arrived originally staying at the The Marble Arch Hotel over the road but we were moved to this hotel which was fine by me. When we arrived we were told the room was upgraded to the Park Lane Suite to celebrate my fiancées birthday and the staff couldn't of been more helpful and kind. We had a complimentary slice of cake and bottle of wine left in the room as well as flowers brought up right on time as this was something I requested. The room was lovely and we really felt special. Food and room service was great too, we ordered dinner, breakfast and went for afternoon tea at the restaurant. I was very happy overall and we will be coming back to one of their hotels again.
Finally out of this place! The only good thing about is the location, it’s perfect. Other than that, the rooms are super dirty & dusty. The towels smell like a kitchen. The bed sheets are very itchy, I couldn’t sleep comfortably. There were flies in the bedroom. We informed the management and they tried to keep an effort in cleaning the room but a lot of spaces that I pointed out were the same and still very dusty. This is a standard of a 2/3 star hotel, not a 5. Such a bad experience. I’ll definitely not recommend this hotel, and never coming back again..
With the stress of travelling, they made our stay stress free. The staff were so welcoming and nice + they gave us an upgrade. The restaurant next door Hankies had amazing Indian food & again, the service was exceptional especially with my partner's nut allergy. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here, it was a fantastic experience.
