Terrible hotel! This would be rated 2 stars by American standards. It has a good location, but the room was tiny and not family-friendly. The towels were small, the closet looked big, but it was just to store a vending machine. and the refrigerator was inadequate for storing infant supplies. I called in advance to request a crib, but at check-in, they said they would see if one was available. Very disappointing experience.
Lovely quiet family owned small hotel. Excellent staff. Great location. Very quirky olde world interior which I found very refreshing rather than the sparse modern design of chain hotels. I would happily stay again. Rooms: I had a single room. Perfectly adequate for my stay, really comfy bed and excellent shower. The decor is rather tired and definitely needs a lick of paint and updated fittings however, there was everything I needed including iron and ironing board, safe and Elemis toiletries. It's was very clean and despite the tired decor I rather quite liked the quirkiness of the room. Food & drinks: Breakfast was excellent. You can basically order whatever you want within reason and it comes quickly too. Very courteous service in lovely surroundings. Noteworthy details: There were little thoughtful touches all over the hotel which offset the minus point of need for a bit of attention to the paintwork. I'm not a smoker but there is a cute little open air smoking yard. Absolutely delightful staff. I asked for ice on arrival and it was brought to my room before I could open my suitcase. There's also a very comfortable lounge area which is relaxing with a TV and selection of books and magazines.
This place is DISGUSTING!! Run far far away! The rooms are dingy, smell like cigarette smoke and the furniture is literally falling apart. We had a terrible experience even beyond how gross it was. We booked over the phone with a friendly woman, who took my cc but told me i wouldn't be charged until i arrived. Then i was charged right after getting off the phone.... We booked a suite with 2 king beds. That was the photo on expedia and the woman assured us thats what we were getting. My 3 small children and I were traveling from far. When we arrived, the room had a queen and two singles. The manager said none of the rooms had two kings. They apologized and told me they'd refund, and we promptly left and went to another hotel. Surprise surprise, they never refunded. When i called them to discuss, the manager denied our conversation every happened. This place is corrupt and just honestly GROSS. The smell alone... but that everything was falling apart. They clearly have financial problems. I recommend NOT staying here.
The afternoon tea is amazing! Tasty scones, sandwiches and the cakes. We liked the decoration because it is authentic . We will come back Rooms: 5/5
We travelled as a family of five and had room 22, a two room apartment suite. Maybe typical London. But nothing is straight or level, walking uphill to the kitchen and downhill to the bathroom. You can hear guests walking above you very well, but not very bothersome. We experienced everything as clean and tidy the bathrooms have a higher standard than the rooms, and are really nice. Could not get TVs to work, but not really an issue. The location is everything and you probably can’t find better value without moving away from the centre . Higher standard hotels in the same area are twice the price. Overall very happy.
My niece and I went to The Leonard Hotel for a champagne afternoon high tea. The sandwiches and scones/cakes were delicious, and we had a glass of champagne and two pots of tea. We enjoyed the high tea immensely, and the service was first class.Rooms: 5/5
The Afternoon Tea with champagne was splendid. The staff were extremely professional, helpful and polite. Worth every penny and worth 5 stars.Service: 5/5
A quirky typical old London hotel that has character when walking in. The room has a decent bed, good heating/cooling, and a desk, but that’s where the good ends. The cleanliness was shockingly poor. The shower had some sort of dust/weird specs with 3 different hairs in it before I’d even had a shower!! The tap moved side to side and was horrible to use, a lady at the front desk was rude to me in the morning when I was kindly asking for clarification on payment through my company. Overall a mediocre stay with good breakfast but would not be returning again. Can find better for the price.
The location is Superb, a short walk to the tube and from the bustle of Oxford street. The staff are very friendly, professional and courteous. An excellent hotel.Rooms: 5/5
Went for afternoon tea, very nice selection especially if you like cake .The staff were very friendly. The hotel was accessible just of marble arch .Rooms: 5/5
