Easily the best GP Practice in the country! They get back to me very quickly and are easily contactable online. It's honestly such a refreshing experience after moving down south.
I’ve found this GP service to be consistently excellent, GP medics and physician associates all deliver care to a high standard and within their respective competences. I’m not sure how they consistently give appointments same day when primary care is failing around the UK, but they do. Also I’m medically trained and have always been impressed by the quality of their medical advice.
I have been with this surgery for over 30 years from seeing Dr Barton to Amara Hughes and now Dr Irina, these doctors are outstanding. I have always received a polite friendly welcome from the old admin team to Emma & Rachel today, I feel they do an amazing job If I have to phone them, the call is answered within a reasonable time and my questions have been answered, if I have to use the online consultation I usually hear back the same day. The only negative is the waiting area, it needs a fresh paint job and the old childrens play area sorting out. In my opinion best surgery around Thank you all for a brilliant service
Had to fill in multiple forms to even speak to someone. Finally got a call back from DR PHIL SMITH. My concerns and issues were completely invalidated. Told my issues were not an emergency - if I had an emergency I would go to A&E and not my GP for support. The attitude and disrespect on the phone was appalling. All I wanted was to see a GP for an issue that I had already seen them for. I was told to come back in a few weeks and when I did they gave me an appointment for weeks ahead. Finally ended the phone by hanging up on me. I have never seen anything like this before and this doctor/surgery needs to be investigated. Avoid!! Spent 20 minutes on the phone arguing with me about how im wasting the NHS time and how I am not an emergency patient.
I have just switched to this GP due to their high ratings - however the only way to get an appointment from them is to fill a triage form, which doesn't really give you the option to book an appointment at the date and time of your choice. In the form there is a box for indicating 'available times' but this is not convenient. It has been years since COVID happened however some surgeries are still operating at a triage system for some reason. I would like to be able to select the date/time of an appointment, please.
1 Constantly looking for reasons to avoid prescribing medication advised by hospital consultant doctors, 2 do not arrange appointments with GP, just send text messages basically dismissing your concerns, 3 do not respond to emails. 4 stay away. You can't do any online consultations after 4pm. And over the phone they just refer you back to the online consultation. What a joke. This surgery is just looking to get new patients to make money, they couldn't care less about the patients.
Kind, helpful and efficient practice. Dr Oxenham has been particularly helpful and caring in my recent interactions. Praise to the whole team for delivering high quality care in difficult times. Thank you for looking after me.
I tell anyone I can that this GP is probably the flagship for the country. Excellent response rates, proactive follow up, thorough, thoughtful and always suggest useful ways to manage any health issues. I only wish they would get more funding for a nutrition centre as I think they are very thoughtful on prevention.
You cannot book a slot for the same day and must first fill out a series of forms online. The front desk and doctor are very rude, and their attitude towards patients is extremely poor. Regardless of whether you are sick, they yell at you, saying today is not possible. They also tell you to call 111 if it's an emergency, as they can’t do anything.
An update on my previous review, I’ve had two recent appointments, one with the Clinical Pharmacist, the next with Raj, a Physician Associate. During both I met with compassion and the highest standards of diagnosis and treatment. As ever, this Surgery, as led by Dr Hughes, excels!
