The Hastings is a destination food pub and community local rolled into one. With a 175 year history and a sympathetic recent major refurbishment it combines the old and the new into comfortable welcoming surroundings.
We offer an exciting wide ranging food menu with a drinks offer to match. Whether you are looking for a pub classic or more modern cuisine there is something for everyone. And of course don't forget our Geordie Tappaz menu, which has gained notoriety across the North East. It is no surprise hat since the refurbishment our food sales have grown sevenfold, a wet sales doubled.
We also offer great entertainment with live music every Friday Night and a our popular charity Pub Quiz every Wednesday. Our annual Cider and Sausage Festival is always an event for your diaries..
The Hastings is proud to support local community projects and also is an avid fundraiser for Daft as a Brush Cancer Patient Care. We have raised over £10,000 since Paul and Peter arrived at The Hastings.
The hard work and success of Paul and Peter's tenure at The Hastings was rewarded in October 2016 when the pub was named Best Partnership Pub at The Great British Pub Awards - testimony to the efforts of a great staff team and support of a loyal customer base.
