My latest Classic breakfast fell well short of expectation. Only 6 potato croquettes that had been reheated. On my last two visits there were around 8 to 10. Fewer beans then previous visits. Mushrooms not fresh. Bacon was reheated and chewy tough. Looks like it's back to the Fire Station - further away but consistently good. No complaints about the service although were you happy to serve what you did?
A lovely and welcoming atmosphere. We came down for a weekend away and found this place to have some food at. The food was amazing and cooked to perfection. I ordered the chicken wings for one with a side of curly fries and garlic bread and my mum ordered the 8oz sirloin. Both meals were delicious and came out with good time after ordering. The service was also very welcoming and polite. We also orders the brownie with ice cream for dessert. Both desserts were insane, the brownie was nice and warm and the strawberry we got with it tasted fresh. It wasn’t too sweet and wasn’t too sour. Would love to thank you for the amazing service you provided, it was also our last night which made we were thankful we picked a good restaurant for it.
Appreciate it's a sizzling pub so wasn't expecting anything amazing. There seemed a distinct lack of staff when we visited, one staff member trying to run food and do the bar which meant we had to wait a good 10 mins or so with deserts but no spoons. Not much of an apology just said he wasn't the one that took our order...We ordered on the app
I booked the function room at the Hunting Lodge for a party and it was absolutely perfect. A great sized space with plenty of seating and space for a dance floor if needed, a private bar and toilets. Great range of drinks and food options; I will definitely be back for my next occasion and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone in the area looking for a function room.
We booked the lounge for our mother's wake and everything went perfectly. The staff were very good and the buffet was excellent. Thank you on what was a difficult day for the family.Food: 5/5
Got stake first one wasn’t what I asked for they guy changed it straight away waited 5 mins brung me new one out omg it was perfectFood: 5/5
We used venue function room on approaching staff to book were very helpful. But on day it was a disappointment , food was terrible especially as was not cheap. Bar staff was rushed off feet and unhelpful . Then when asked for help manager was unprofessional and rude accusing 17 yr old of drinking . Was not . I and fruend had to clean up for them and remove glasses as they did not . Would not recommend function room .
Been to the Hunting Lodge many times for food, had good experience and a couple of bad ones, however tonight was fantastic. Bar staff as always friendly and polite but in particular the food was brilliant. Chef was a younger lady and she deserves credit for what she does including customer serviceFood: 5/5
We have been here a few time but last night 2 had the curry which was lovely and 2 had the fish wasn't good the batter wasn't crispy and then had to ask were are sweet was after waiting 25min after ordering the sweetFood: 3/5
