Have seen Les Misérables far over 30 times in 4 different countries. This current London production is by far one of the most advanced and best designed versions. The west end cast is of exceptional high quality. Highly recommend to see this newer version if you only knew the older ones with the revolving stage. It has the look and feel of an oil painting. Remarkable light design. Very touching peak moments.
The performance was brilliant and the building itself is beautiful.nThe production was truly outstanding, and the theatre has a lovely atmosphere. Unfortunately, the overall experience was slightly diminished by the lack of proper facilities. There is effectively no cloakroom – only space for around 30 winter coats – which meant we had to keep our coats folded on our laps throughout the entire performance.nnIt was disappointing, especially as we came dressed elegantly, hoping for a true theatre experience rather than a cinema-like setting. While the artistic quality on stage was exceptional, this practical detail took away from the sense of occasion and respect that theatre usually offers.
Cute theatre. We saw Les Miserables there and we loved it. Decorations, live orchestra, excellent acting. Amazing experience! Don’t get cheap on tickets if you want to see whole stage though. Not every seat guarantees it.
Home of the musical Les Misérables. The version here is excellent and definitely a recommend for anyone who loves Les Mis. I like this version of the Thénardiers the best.nnThe seats are a bit cramped for modern standards but the staff is friendly, and heating is adequate for the duration of the show. Stalls feel worth the cost tbh.nnMaybe a bigger area to sell merch?nnEncore! Encore!
In my opinion, this production of Les Misérables did not reach the emotional depth of either the film or the television series. It lacked the powerful, moving moments that make the story so impactful. The singing was also not at the level I expected. That said, the costumes were good, and the overall atmosphere in the theatre was enjoyable. A decent experience, but not as compelling as previous adaptations.
