The staff at the Lyric Theatre were fantastic — well-presented, professional, and incredibly friendly. They managed the crowd on the busy street efficiently and made sure everyone was guided smoothly to their sections.nnInside, the venue was clean and easy to navigate. Finding our seats, restrooms, and concession areas was straightforward, which made for a stress-free experience.nnThe balcony layout offered good viewing angles overall, though the higher seating sections do extend quite far above the stage. This can make it a bit challenging to see over taller audience members, and the distance from the stage can lessen the sense of immersion slightly. Of course, this depends on ticket choice and price range, but it’s something to keep in mind when booking.nnWe watched Hadestown, and the performance was absolutely brilliant. The main cast delivered powerful, moving vocals, and the supporting ensemble was impressively synchronized throughout. The live on-stage musicians added an incredible energy that’s best appreciated in person. Show timings were punctual from start to finish, and the entire production was a joy to watch.nnOverall, the Lyric Theatre offers a great experience — excellent staff, a well-kept venue, and a world-class show. Just be mindful of your seating choice for the best view.n Pictures from balcony row H
absolutely loved the Lyric Theatre! It’s such a beautiful venue with an incredible atmosphere. Being a more intimate space, it creates a unique and cozy experience that makes the show even more special. The sound quality was fantastic, and we watched Sing Street—what an absolute delight! The staff were also extremely friendly and welcoming, which added to the overall experience. All in all, an unforgettable evening in a truly charming theatre.
I was at Lyric Theatre to see Hadestown, and it was superb! I walked, as usual, from Green Park Station. Staff were courteous and the theatre was air-conditioned. More ladies toilets would be good but, hey-ho, all theatres in London are afflicted with the not-enough-toilets condition. I sat in A6, Dress Circle, and the view was banging. Seat was very comfortable, and legroom was good enough for tall me. Go visit.
This theatre is very old and should be renovated. The corridor in the female toilets is too narrow, especially when people are in a queue.nMost disappointingly, there was bad management and uncivilized audience. A man with his partner, were standing and chatting with his friends in the narrow legroom next to me, completely obstructing the narrow passage and didn’t give me any space. The usher noticed and didn’t stop such rude behavior or she didn’t notice it. During performance, this man was whispering to his partner now and then. He said his son was one of the actors tonight, but there was no theatre etiquette from him. What a shame! Besides, a phone was ringing more than once during a wonderful singer’s performance. It was so disturbing. The usher should stop it for the first time.nI spent 50 pounds to buy this good seat but my experience was ruined by the rude people sitting next to me and unprofessional staff.
Loved the theatre! Went here to watch Hadestown and had an amazing time!!! We had seats on the balcony which was unfortunately a climb up stairs that were kind of steep but was still fine! This was the view from our seats, could definitely still see the stage perfectly clear which was
