Mj the musical.nIt was an amazing Musical, great audio and lighting, set design was immaculate and it was easy to find.nBUT the streets were incredibly busy, to the point where I couldn't walk 2 feet before someone bumped into me, and it wasn't because I'm hard to see, I'm 6'5 so I'm not exactly hard to see, it was just so busy that there wasn't anywhere to go. But since this is not the theaters fault I will not deduct points from the review, it's just a warning.get there at least 30 min in advance, because due to the crowds it might be hard to reach
A beautiful theatre with comfortable seating, great acoustics and lovely polite staff. My only critique would be that there are not enough toilets to accommodate for the near 1700 seats especially when the interval hits. You’re better off going at the start and arriving early and hoping you can hold it till you go home. Toilets also didn’t smell the greatest and were a bit shabby looking for a theatre.nnFood and drinks and merch was a bit pricey but that’s to be expected in London and in theatres so no surprises there.
Visited the Prince Edward Theatre in December 2025 to see MJ the Musical. The show was amazing, but that's a different review and this review is based on the theatre itself.nnDesigned in 1930 and opened Second time in 1939, the art deco redesign stands well to impress in modern times.nnSeats are reasonable and spacious and host approximately 1700 patrons.nnToilet facilities are clean, but too few to accommodate the usage during intervals adequately.nnThe design amplifies the acoustics & atmosphere well.nnTheatre staff were welcoming, courteous and helpful whilst directing to seats and serving at counters for condiments and merchandise.nnIts London theatreland, so nothing was what I would consider cheap, but getting soft drinks in a tin can has lost this theatre a point, however the crisps were pretty unique.nnThis is a lovely theatre that is most certainly suited for musicals and its ambience suits the experience very well.
MJ The Musical.nPostioned in the heart of Soho, you're spoilt for choice for restaurants and bars surrounding the wonderful Prince Edward Theatre. What a fantastic show! If you like MJ and his music, this show is for you. The stage is set beautifully with amazing dancing and singing throughout. I could easily watch this again. Lots of energy and a feel good factor about this show. There's no recording or photos allowed during the performance but lots of opportunities at the end to get some pics and videos. The band were amazing!nnIf you're after a quick cheap bite, ICCO Pizzeria is just over the road and serves lovely pizzas within 5 minutes!
Sure! Here's a positive review you can use for the theatre where you watched the Michael Jackson show:nn---nnnnI recently had the incredible experience of watching the Michael Jackson tribute show at Prince Edward theatre and I cannot say enough good things about it! From the moment I stepped into the theatre, I was greeted by a vibrant atmosphere.nThe theatre itself is stunning, with excellent acoustics that amplified the music beautifully. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. I also appreciated the comfortable seating and great sightlines from every angle.
