Staff weren’t friendly/welcoming. Girl barely looked up from her phone when we were checking in. Man on reception didn’t offer to carry big iron board to our room and instead 1 of us girls had to carry with difficulty. We were put in one lovely room, only to be told 5 minutes later that it actually isn’t our room and we were allocated another; which was not nice and much not like the other. Stains on the floor also. Room was freezing. Heating does not work. Our key stopped working twice, then the new one took 10 minutes every time we tried to get in. No bar/drinks service, despite being informed there was. The lift up to the hotel is extremely slow and you have to push it to go up. Staff don’t respond when you say thank you etc or goodbye. Also when checking out, weren’t even asked if we had a nice stay etc. Good location, nice breakfast but it doesn’t take much for the staff to just be a tiny bit welcoming even. Disappointing for the price we paid. Definitely not worth the price.
The location was good for us. We were at a conference in the area and found it convenient for public transport bus & train. Our room was tiny #104. We stayed there for 9 nights and it felt like a shoebox. Our luggage's needed to be closed and opened one at a time. Clothes were stored in bags under the bed-Closet space limited. Bed and furniture placement was off, I couldn't comfortably walk to my side of the bed as the dresser was on the corner and blocked the path. Bathroom was tiny. I'm 5'3 and felt like I was in an airplane toilet. Pillows were flat. Carpet balding and ripped. bathroom sink stained. Overall an unpleasant room. But we enjoyed conversations with the staff. They were friendly and helpful. Our fav was Shahid. He helped in the breakfast area. Always had a warm smile and friendly demeanor. We would stay again if we were guaranteed one of the rooms in the photos.
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff are very friendly. The rooms were clean but damaged in places such as the carpet, ceiling and a broken lamp. However, I think with these problems the price is fair. There was a cozy feel and I liked the colourful design. Breakfast was good. It included pain au chocolat, croissants, muffins, bread/toast, cereals, yogurts, a coffee machine and orange and apple juice. I think the hotel is good value. It is in a great location near tube and bus stops in a nice neighbourhood, and there are plenty of options for food. I would recommend this hotel Rooms: Some damage to rooms. Damage to carpet, ceiling, and lamps. Cozy feel and nice, bright design. Comfortable beds.
The hotel is located at 5 min walk to High Street Kensington Metro Station. The rooms were spacious & bright. The beds were super comfortable. However, bed linens could’ve been a bit cleaner. The washroom had 24 hrs hot running water with all basic toiletries. I have to admit the hotel staff is super cordial and helpful. I wouldn’t think twice to come & stay here again. Points to Improve: Breakfast selection.
Me and my partner stayed here for 5 nights, payed around £320. The room was a fair size, had room for bags and to move around, had a safe which was easy to use and decent wardrobe space. The bed was a good size and comfortable, sheets were clean but only had 2 pillows. The bathroom was a fair size, the shower door was not fixed correctly so it was loose and the shower head had nosels missing so I sprayed at the door a bit, but this was very minor. The TV was a good size but the bracket must have been fitted by a 12 year old because it didn't extend like it should have. The room itself was very good for the price, a few minor issues but nothing to stop us having a great time and considering going again. Breakfast was very lackluster, some better options would be nice but it's a small hotel so understandable. There are a lot of stairs in this hotel so bare that in mind. I had a nice stay and would recommend this as a fair priced hotel which is located just 5 minutes from a tube station and surrounded by shops and transport.
Very clean, neat and tidy, good choice for buffet breakfast, staff were extremely polite and professional. The beds were very comfortable with fresh clean sheets and towels. Good location, only 6 minutes walk to nearest tube station, and right on Kensington High Street. Unfortunately, there is ONLY ONE negative point, which is why this is a 4 star and not a 5 star review. On the second night the fire alarm went off at approx 2am, which in itself was a good thing as there genuinely was a very small fire in Nandos restaurant situated below the hotel. However, the night porter was no where to be seen, leaving startled guests in state of confusion and not knowing what to do or where to go. This was pointed out to the owner on our departure, who assured me that the matter had been investigated and addition staff training was being carried out. It is not a reflection on the business but one individual staff member, I WILL definitely stay at there again.
Cracking little hotel. Touch hard to find on Kensington High Street but once there it was good. The room was a bit small and furnishings needed a bit of refreshment but it was clean and perfectly comfortable. The staff were all lovely and helpful. Great breakfast, continental style. Rooms: Small but fit a comfortable double bed. Desk, chair, wardrobe etc. In there. Walkability: On Kensington High Street and within easy walk of the tube. The hotel is on 1st floor upwards and there is a tiny lift to take you up from ground floor. Didn't spot a lift on other floors. Food & drinks: Breakfasts were great, fruit juice, fruits, pastries, yogurts, cereal, breads, eggs, cheese and cold meats.
I am not a person who complains a lot, and I can put up with many things, but this was just a horror story. I stayed at the Seraphine Kensington Olympia for 30 minutes, and it was the worst hotel experience I've ever had in my life. The room made Harry Potter's Cupboard Under the Stairs look like a luxury hotel. The room was dusty, stank of cigarettes and the furniture was broken. When I first checked in, I was immediately struck by how dirty and neglected the hotel was. The room and the carpet were dusty, and the bathroom was filthy. In addition, a lift needs to be made legal or shut down. Health and Safety regulations are not observed in this hotel. Here are some specific details about my experience: The advertised photos are not representative The carpet was dusty and dirty. The bathroom was filthy. Health and Safety not observed. Hygiene not exsitent. Service untrained and the owner rude - telephone Overall, I had the most negative experience of my life and would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I'm sorry for posting this negative review, but fro 170 GBP per night we deserve much, much better. Rooms: The room and the carpet were dusty, and the bathroom was filthy. Safety: A lift needs to be made legal or shut down. Health and Safety regulations are not observed in this hotel.
The rooms are old and perhaps the whole hotel needs a refurb but the location is great as it is close to the underground station and surrounded by various restaurants and shops! The breakfast was basic but enough to jump start your day. Value for money for a weekend getaway!Rooms: 3/5
Rooms are compact but very clean and comfortable. Fantastic shower!!! Staff are lovely, polite and helpful. Perfect base for our visit to the Albert Hall. Now we have found this hotel we will be back. Walkability: Tube station close by. Lots of lovely places to eat and drink. Great base for a stay in London.
