Exceptional Breakfast at Hotel Xenia I recently had breakfast at Hotel Xenia as an external guest, and it exceeded my expectations. Elisabetta's warm and welcoming presence made the experience even better. She was attentive, always ensuring everything was in perfect order. Albino was equally fantastic, working behind the scenes to keep the buffet fully stocked and looking impeccable. The quality of the food was top-notch—everything was fresh, varied, and delicious. A truly enjoyable morning, and I’ll definitely be returning!
A Pleasant Surprise at Hotel Xenia I recently visited Hotel Xenia for breakfast as an external guest, not knowing that this was an option. What a pleasant surprise! The buffet was excellent, with everything fresh and delicious. I also had the pleasure of meeting Elisabetta, who managed the buffet and prepared breakfast. She kindly walked me through the buffet options and explained the dishes in detail. It was such a great experience, and I’ll definitely be back for more. Highly recommended!
Room was very small even for Europe. Location is not ideal if you’re wanting to explore London. Also on a busy road so lots of noise at night. We had to return home early and I was disappointed by the way the hotel handled it even though I have status within the hotel group. Suggest you pay a bit more to stay elsewhere and have a better experience. Rooms: Very small. Walkability: Distant from lots of London’s attractions. Walkable in South Kensington, but if you want to go elsewhere given London’s traffic it’s usually a 30min Uber ride.
The hotel is very comfortable and also has a perfect location. The breakfast was very good and the waiters were very friendly. Specifically, there is a waiter named Alejandro who is probably the best waiter I have ever met. Also, if we ask him for something, he always looks for a solution.Rooms: 5/5
Hotel was clean and most staff were not rude but nothing exceptional enough to put in autograph level having stayed at hotel Marriot properties often. Double bed classic room and bathroom was very, very small difficult to move about the room for a 65kg person which is understandable in a historical building but our room has visible signs of dings and disrepair including the shower door. This room had basic amenities but no specific touches or designs to stand out. Staff did not go out of the way to put out coffee or provide an extra water when asked. Location is on a busy street with some mixed characters...there was a women moving her bowels in a bush a few yards away and another soiled man walking up to people shouting. If I had read a review like this before booking I would have chosen another hotel for the cost and level of service.
Rooms are EXTREMELY cramped; my wife and I had to coordinate our movements to get about the room. Bathroom is very small, your head practically hits the door when sitting on the toilet. The shower is the smallest I've ever used, maybe 30" wide and the door is maybe 16" wide so you have to kind of slip in sideways. The overpriced £23 breakfast is the standard bread/fruit/meats/eggs thing, and underwhelming. yeah, it's London, where things are expensive, but this should have been £10. Service was impeccable, the hotel is very clean, location is convenient to Earl's Court tube station. But I can't get past the super small rooms; I'll not stay here again.
I write this review regarding the outstanding customer service I received from the Reservations and Revenue Manager at Hotel Xenia London. Wow, what an amazing person to work with! Helpful, knowledgeable on requests and needs for the leadership team at this hotel. The level of customer service was beyond what I expected, and I look forward to the next time I get to work with the manager at this location.
Kensington boutique hotel, though part of the Marriot chain. Very friendly and efficient staff, a couple of nice, small bars. We didn’t eat in the restaurant but it looked like it had a good atmosphere. We upgraded the room to an Executive one, which was well equipped but fairly small.Rooms: 4/5
The staff at the hotel were all very help and very friendly. The hotel is in a great location, close to 2 different tube stations and lines and about a 15 minute walk to Kensington and about same to Kensington Gardens. The rooms are well appointed with Nespresso machines, clock radio with USB charging port, decent hotel hair dryer, good closet. But as per other reviews, the rooms are very, very small even by London standards. I was in a regular, “Queen” size bed room with my husband for 4 nights and it was fine but we had to be very careful about how we used the space. Also a UK a queen is much smaller than a North American queen, more like a double bed. The bathroom was a D good size with a large shower and good mirror. It was a great place to stay for a long weekend where you’re trying to go out and see lots of things and walk to places.
The service and welcoming I received upon early check in couldn’t go unnoticed. I was greeted by Haider who assisted me with my bag and asked me about my travels. He is very helpful and knowledgable. I was only staying here one night as my wife was arriving the next day so the team was helpful with extending my checkout and providing extra water bottles when prompted. This is a nice boutique small room hotel for North Americans be prepared. The room I stayed in was small but it was packed with all the luxury amenities. Ps . You will hear construction and sirens but this is expected near a hospital and a lot of work being done nearby.
