Great Sainsbury’s have a wide selection. It has a great amount of self checkouts so the queue is often moving fast. However, bread rolls etc are sometimes rock hard and some staff aren’t really friendly.

A lot of vegan options, which is really great! They have plant-based milk, butter, cheese, and even whipped cream. It's nice to see such a wide selection of dairy alternatives, along with other vegan-friendly products. Definitely a solid spot for vegan grocery shopping, and it makes things so much easier when everything is available in one place. Whether you're looking for essentials or just trying something new, it's worth checking out for a good variety of choices!

This place has a great selection it is a good sized supermarketnPlenty of fresh food...nMeat,  fish, veg, fruit...nI still prefer real human checkouts but staff generally pleasant and helpful though at times you see they're overstretchednAlas! The way of the world...nuse it or lose it...nIf you're not careful, even the supermarket may disappear...nDowngrade for lack of deli, fish, butcher counters...nFourth star for staff effort...

From the first few seconds of stepping into the store all I could hear were staff roaring at the top of their voices at the self service tills ‘cash or card!!’, I could hear their constant shouting whilst shopping throughout the store and I couldn’t wait to get out. Sainsburys really need to rethink the self-service till layout, it just doesn’t work, lots of open tills at the end were not being utilised. The Walthamstow store is much bigger and busier and I’ve never seen that sort of chaos! Also the salad shelves are really ridiculous, they are built so that the bottom shelf slants at an outwards angle and the higher shelves are at a gradually more inward angle,  this makes the top shelf totally inaccessible if you’re not a tall person especially as there’s a glass barrier in the top shelf - so annoying!

Theres a lady who works on the self checkouts, her name i believe is zanna. She’s incompetent and unprofessional at her job and made my shopping experience extremely unpleasant. I use the smart shop app and from time to time checks need to be carried out which is fine. I’m unsure if she understands how it works but her attitude towards me was as if she were treating a common thief. I was so baffled by this behaviour and wondered if it had something to do with my being brown skinned. She seemed after all to be a white Eastern European lady with a heavy accent, almost hard to understand. She was very abrupt and rude towards me, I was confused by her lack of decorum especially with onlookers. I’ll stick to waitrose in future if this is the standards of sainsburys staff. At least waitrose staff are polite and will actually help you locate an item.
