Lidl Holloway Road is a solid choice if you're looking for reasonably priced groceries, good promotions, and extended store hours. Prices are consistently lower than other supermarkets in the area, and the quality — especially for fresh fruit, vegetables, bakery items, and dairy — is surprisingly good.nnIf you have the Lidl Plus app, you save even more. The weekly coupons, digital receipts, and surprise discounts at checkout make a noticeable difference, especially if you shop here regularly. It's a smart way to stretch your budget without sacrificing quality.nnThe staff at this branch deserve real credit. Even when the store is busy, the team stays respectful, polite, and efficient. You can see they work hard to keep the store running smoothly — restocking shelves, assisting at the checkouts, and helping customers with questions. It’s always appreciated.nnYes, the store can get crowded, and self-checkouts can occasionally have issues, but these are minor drawbacks in an otherwise well-run and useful local supermarket.
The store has the general selection of products which one would find in most Lidl stores, but the self-service checkout section is chaotic. Part of it is down to the fact that people are very slow, but there is also an insufficient number of checkouts to keep up with demand at times such as Sundays.
I dropped a bottle of oil already checked out and created a proper mess. The staff was so helpful and friendly and just got on with it. I profusely apologised of course - and they were ever so helpful despite a very busy checkout.
This Lidl store is badly managed with half empty shelves and missing everyday staples like baked beans and breakfast cereals. I couldn't find half of the grocer8i wanted and had to purchase the rest from a nearby Tesco. The store is shabby and congested. I now use the Euston square Lidl, which is well managed.
This particular Lidl is the worst I've been to. It is small, there is no mid-shelf section with the unusual product offers, there are certain bakery products that have a different recepy than other lidls. It is a dirty place.
