I’ve been a big fan of Sézane and have recommended it to many friends. Unfortunately, my recent experience has been incredibly disappointing. It seems like the quality of the products has seriously declined.nI had a favorite bag that needed a small repair, so I contacted Sézane customer service to ask if they could assist. The representative quickly informed me that they don’t offer repairs but could replace my bag with the same new one. Trusting this, I sent in my old bag. Big mistake!nTo my shock, the replacement bag I received was of extremely poor quality. The leather on the new bag Milo in glossy burgundy looked cheap and plasticky, nothing like what was shown on their website. The previous version of the bag had a beautiful leather texture with suttle gloss that I loved, but the new one looked like a cheap imitation with an overly glossy finish. It felt like they had changed suppliers, using lower-quality leather and covering it with a glossy finish to hide its flaws.nMy friends, who are also Sézane fans and have older versions of this bag, said they would never buy this new bag.nI ended up returning the bag, but now I’m left feeling frustrated because I want my original bag back. Sézane should have informed me that the replacement would not be the same as the original, and I would have never sent my bag in if I knew they couldn’t provide an equivalent replacement. Even photos on their website show the older version of this bag, so how could I knew that I will receive different bag!nI’m asking Sézane to return my original bag which I really loved but they say it is not possible, which I can’t believe as it was just few days since they received it. This whole situation has left me disappointed and hurt.nnUPDATE: A member of the team reached out to me and offered to send me another bag, with a promise to personally inspect the quality and ensure it is the same finish as on the website photo and my original bag. The replacement arrived yesterday, but unfortunately, it still looks the same—super shiny, cheap-looking glossy leather. It doesn't resemble the bag in the photos on the Sezane website, nor is it like my original bag, which I had sent back. It honestly feels like no real action was taken to resolve the issue, and that the conversation was more of a formality rather than an attempt to truly assist. Please HELP and return my original bag, I will repair it myself! I have realised the quality is not the same anymore and you don't have the same quality Milo in Burgundy anymore.
I'm a big fan of Sezane and I'm always curious to see how the brand succeeds overseas not to mention the Apartments are usually so cosy you wanna live in them. As a cosmopolitan city, I thought my customer experience in London's Apartment would be as thrilling as in NYC's but it only gave me more *French attitude* than in France. And it's not a compliment. I don't like being check from head to toe like the space is only reserved for a certain type of customer. Nevertheless, I tried a lovely piece of clothing I couldn't find in France but then I heard staff members criticizing clients in the fitting room hello, it's not professional and some of us do actually understand what you are saying even behind a curtain... It's a shame because Sezane is a top-quality brand. So, I'll forget this Apartment and get back to the online store or to NYC!nAnother low point: the prices are the same as in France but in £. I understand the fees but once the currency is converted, it's banana
Really lovely visit to the store, the assistant was helpful whilst I tried on so so many clothes. Unfortunately their stock isn't as inclusive as the website, it would have been nice to try on size 16 in some of the items, but they only had up to size 14 in stock. Delighted with the service and my purchases
Super cute store and while they didn’t have sizing in a lot of the clothing I was happy just to see some pieces I’ve been contemplating online in person to confirm the quality and feel are lovely. Bought two sweaters sizing in their sweaters is no problem! and their perfume which I can’t get in Canada. Super friendly staff too
Had a wonderful time visiting the store. The staff was really nice especially Lila who made sure I had the help I needed. I’ll be back soon.
