Booked a quad room with the expectation of 2 double beds but found upon check in that we have a double and 2 single beds. The main attraction is the location of the hotel to the Earls Court station because you are not booking this for comfort. Would give the room a half star if possible. The people working here are quite nice for what they are offering. Rooms: Basement room had 1 tiny window to the outside. Bathroom has no windows and was pretty poorly kept. Safety: As mentioned there is only 1 window that is fully bared. No fire escape in the room what-so-ever. Noteworthy details: Only a 2 minute walk from Earls Court station which was very convenient.
Good location, charming exterior, but it stopped there. Unfortunately, I have to say that we were given a clammy, cold, moldy and tired room in the basement, without the possibility to turn on the heat or draw the curtains, which was more reminiscent of a bunker than a hotel. The hotel was full and we didn't get the change. The last straw was when I woke up in the night that the neighbor above was taking a shower and water was running down our bathroom. When I said something about it at the reception in the morning, there was no apology or comment. I was prepared for low standards in London, but sadly not this. No, do not recommend this to anyone. Please, stay away - or never accept the basement.
I've travelled to London a decent bit since 2022, so I'm familiar with the type of older buildings that most 1 or 2 star hotels are located in. Normally, I enjoy the quirks of the hotel being unique and I am perfectly comfortable with tight rooms, no lifts, and worn down decor. That's what I was expecting here, and it is unfortunately not what we got. The quad room we booked looked nothing like any of the pictures, and was situated in the basement with a tiny, above-eye level window. We expected two double beds, but we got one double and two twins. All of this could have been manageable if the shower ceiling hadn't been covered in black mould. Spending five days in a dark, icky basement with a bathroom you can hardly bare to go into really wears on you after a while, and we were excited to leave. I can't even say well, at least it was cheap, because it really wasn't. It was probably the most expensive London hotel I've stayed at in the last two years, which is mind-boggling.
I booked a small room because of the location. Only a few minutes walk from Earls Court station. Large Tesco supermarket about a 10 minute, 3 excellent hotels 3 minutes away. Plenty of restaurants and take away restaurants within 100 metres. Walkability: Close to everything. Food & drinks: I ate dinner at the Courtfield hotel it was excellent.
Its very close to Earls court underground station. Clean rooms, cheerful staff. The building is little bit old but its central london. What do you expect. Great location. Definitely one of my favorites in london Rooms: They have a wide range of room from single to quadruple Walkability: 2 minutes from earlscourt underground station and very close to all attractions Noteworthy details: The only issue is lift
Wonderful hotel! We came from out of the country in January and stayed 4 nights. The staff working the front desk were always pleasant, friendly, and knowledgeable of the area. We came into town in the wee hours of the morning, so we paid for the previous night so we can drop off our luggage and they were more than accomodating. The rooms were clean, with a small patio so we could let some fresh air in. The bed was comfortable and clean. The location could not have been better! The train station is right around the corner and there are a few fast food places within walking distance as well. We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!
The hotel is ideally situated, being very close to a metro station and a lively area filled with restaurants, bars, and cafes. The room size was comfortably adequate for two people, and the pricing was reasonable. However, it’s important to set expectations accordingly; the hotel offers basic amenities with only a bed and bathroom. Potential guests should note there is no lift, and both the room and hotel generally have an older feel.
We stayed here a few weeks ago to visit the natural history museum. Really great location close to many bars restaurants and very close to Earls Court Underground. Just an easy 20 minute walk to the museums. First floor room was a good size with the bonus of a balcony with bistro table and chairs single Could have done with a screen or something between the neighbouring room as the balcony is shared. A good comfortable bed too after a long days walking. You can get an excellent breakfast and lunch and dinner! at the Leon restaurant only about 2 minutes walk. Really helpful and friendly manager there. The downsides were that there was loads of dust on the top and rear of the TV. Also there was no remote supplied. We searched the room but couldn't find it.We asked at reception but they couldn't find one and couldn't help. The worst thing was that the shower cubicle was extremely small just the width of the bifold door. It wasn't possible to pick up anything you dropped without opening the door and we are regular size people not large sized at all. Overall the rooms could do with a bit of sprucing up as some areas looked a little tired but it was good value for a London hotel. We would visit again but a bigger shower would be a big bonus.
If your expecting the Ritz this place isn't for you. But if your looking for a comfortable place to stay, in a brilliant location on a budget I recommend. Changed the linen and towels daily and were very helpful with my luggage no lift, but that's not uncommon in London. Had the twin on the second floor, had a big window we can open which was lovely. You do get noise from the street but you're in Earl's Court so that's normal. Only downside was no fridge and the bathroom was decent but weirdly configured. I have a feeling the negative reviews have come from people not used to budget london accommodation, this place was perfectly adequate for the price point considering the location.
Everything was really nice and cozy. The location was very good. In walking distance to Hyde Park. We really liked the stay. Also service and stuff were exctremly helpful. Rooms were clean and warm. Only minor problem was that shower were too small and I barely fit in. Made my stay little uncomfortable. Except that all was great. Thank you.
