Worst experience I ever had in a hotel! I booked four nights here for a five day trip to London. The room I spent the first night in 202 is the noisiest hotel room I have ever been in. It is right next to the lift. One can not only hear the up and down movement of the lift and the door opening and closing, but also a loud screeching metal-on-metal noise. Further, the mattress was worn out. Apart from that, the room is tiny, the shower is tiny and the shower head is way too low. It is in my opinion only suitable for a deaf child. After I changed the room the next day, leaving my luggage at the reception over the day, I found that two bags with my prescription medication, my contact lenses and my toiletries were missing. I contacted the reception but the receptionist said that housekeeping did not find anything in the old room. She also checked the housekeeping’s room and confirmed that nothing was found. I assumed that the bags had been stolen either when my luggage was in the back office during the day or by housekeeping when they found them. It was already too late to see a doctor to possibly get prescriptions for the missing medication.I don’t know if this would be possible at all as I am not a British citizen. So, after one night with little sleep and knowing that I won’t be able to sleep the upcoming night without medication, I rebooked my flight home to the next day, which of course cost me extra and shortened my trip to three days. When I went to have breakfast the next morning, the receptionist gave me the two missing bags, saying that one of the housekeepers had put them in their personal cupboard, to which nobody else has access. This is completely unacceptable! They did not give me any kind of refund, neither for the two nights with little and no sleep that I spent there, respectively, nor for the two nights I did not spend there due to the shortening of my trip which in my opinion was their fault!
Great hotel, hotel location perfect for Albert Hall. Staff welcoming and helpful. Room clean, we had a luxury room on LG floor. Breakfast service excellent, good food choice, nice coffee. Buffet or cook to order. 2nd visit. Rooms: 4/5
We had a really nice stay here. It’s in a nice location, the price is extremely reasonable and it’s a very comfortable hotel. The thing I would say really stood out here were the staff - they are absolutely fantastic, unbelievably helpful, very welcoming and all around just wonderful to interact with. If I really had to nitpick about anything, I’d only say that the shower cubicle in our room was quite small.
It is very calm and beautiful Hotel. Nearest station is Earl Court. Holland Park is just at walking distance. Staff was very polite. Our stay was wonderful n luxurious. Room was nicely decorated... There were all the amenities available including dryer, tea coffee maker, etc Walkability: Just less than one km away from district and Central line.. Station name is Earl court..... South Keningston square is also on walkable distance
I stayed here recently and their was hair under my pillows We went down to reception and asked for a new bed sheet and pillow cases so they brought some up and we had to make the bed , should not have to do that in a hotel when your paying €130 a night, they offered a complimentary breakfast we didn’t want it but we said ok, we didn’t eat their either because if we found hair under our pillows why would I eat in the restaurant!, also the bed side tables were full of dirt , and that’s right next to your face. The price for london is good though but just disappointing and I’ve seen another review about this issue and they obviously haven’t resolved it !
Hotel was beautifully decorated and thought out. The staff were friendly and efficient on arrival and although we were 10 minutes early for check in we waited in the garden area to the back of the hotel. The lady at the desk then came and got us which was unexpected. Room was absolutely stunning. Word of warning though the beds are hard ok if that's what you like and the pillows were flat pancakes and only 1 each. On asking reception for more firmer pillows she responded with that is the standard here not a very good standard in my eyes and said she would look for some more, she never came to the room with more! It seemed that if we had stayed longer then she might have put effort in. Location is fab, only around a 5-8 minute walk to Earls Court Tube station! On a busy main road but this didn't affect us as we had a basement room.
Very nice place. The room was comfortable and clean. Friendly staff. Very good location, close to everything.Rooms: 5/5
I booked a single room for one night. The stuff is very friendly and the room was comfortable. If I will come back to this area, i will book again!Rooms: 4/5
Lovely room with small outdoor seating area. Very quiet considering it was on such a busy road. Very handy for eateries & Tube at Earls Court. Rooms: Big room & well appointed. Pillows we're a bit flat but otherwise all good.
The reception staff were so thoughtful, they kindly upgraded my booked room to a bigger one when they saw we came with 2 kids which would not be comfortable in the previous one without paying more. Thank you so much for your service. The hotel location is central and close to many express groceries stores and Gloucester Road station, so it’s very convenient for travel, and the price is sooo affordable for such a central place in London. Highly recommended!
