My girlfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights. I read all the previous reviews, wo I was, of course, skeptical. We arrived at noon, whereas check-in wasn't until 3 PM. However, the receptionist was really nice and let us check in for a small fee £20. There are no elevators, and the stairs are quite slim. We stayed in room 104. The room is quite small, with a queen-sized bed and a bathroom. Despite what people say on here, the room was quite clean. The bedside drawer was partially broken. Other things that didn't work: The shower handle there's an over-the-head showerhead & the remote control. There was a hole in the bathroom door. The walls are also quite thin and you can practically hear everything. So much for the bad. As I mentioned, the room was clean, and the water wasn't boiling hot. It took about 5min to warm up though. The hotel staff was excellent and very welcoming. Rooms: Relatively clean, some things broken. Good for a short stay. Nearby activities: There are many restaurants and stores nearby. Safety: The hotel is locked at night, and you need to enter a door code to get in. We came back late one evening, and it overall felt fairly safe. Walkability: About 3 minutes from Earl's Court Station. Food & drinks: They provide a kettle, mugs and tea. Noteworthy details: Staff was very welcoming and helpful
The worst experience of my life so far. It was horrible, what a dirty place, there were spoons and the bed is super uncomfortable, you can feel everything and is held with wooden sticks, dirty bathroom, dirty windows, in general the place is super bad and I do not recommend it, they should send a health inspection to the place.
The only thing that even allows this hotel to get a “1-star” is the fact that it is right by Earl’s Court, which is quite nice. However, if you expect to have WiFi that reaches the room, questions about the city to ask reception, or expect a clean room, save an extra tenner and go down the street to Premier Inn. The room was in shambles, the sheets were clearly unwashed. The bed was loud and springy, not to mention the paper thin walls. The bathroom was a tiny room that had a terrific stench, mould, and the shower only ran on boiling hot. Finally, the train, every 2 minutes there is a train that goes by. If you expect to sleep, you can’t here. All things considered, don’t stay here. If any part of you says “it can’t be that bad”, let me tell you, IT CAN.
the service here is absolutely terrible. For what we paid for, The room itself was fine. Not nice or comfortable, but fine for a sleep and a shower in a decent location. We notified the hotel we would check in between 11pm-12am which they replied yes to, and were surprised to see that we needed to check in at a completely different hotel about 5 min walking distance, The Cromwell International. When we got there, we had a professional and short interaction with the receptionist. Then, later that night I was surprised to see I received an Instagram follow request from the same receptionist. So he used my personal information to find me on Instagram. Super unprofessional and creepy! To top it all off, he RE REQUESTED to follow me the next day after I did not accept his request!! Then, checking out was another fiasco. When we went to pay, my card was approved, then the receptionist voided the payment and said my card declined. I tried multiple different cards and the same thing kept happening. We suggested he may have been processing it incorrectly by voiding the payment after it was approved, but he simply ignored us and told us to pay in cash which we did not have and then instructed us to the nearest ATM. We ultimately ended up paying at the other hotel we checked in at which he had a staff member follow us to, and the payment was processed without issue. Super inconvenient and wasted an hour of our only day in London. Would not recommend this hotel …..
Never again. After travelling to London for 40years,that was my worst experience: unfriendly staff, just one Lady was kind, others speak poor English, room was ok.but you need earplugs as District link was going through yr room..bathroom renotated beds was a desaster. Very old mattresses. I could Not leave luggage at Partner Hotel as promised , which Cost me 40min journey n £15 at the station. NEVER AGAIN
Worst thing ever. Next to train line, and thin walls. Could not sleep from hearing the next room, the trains that are every 2 minutes and the squeaky bed. I cannot call this thing a hotel. Room was also very small and smelly. No luggage room, they said it is in another hotel nearby. They said there is wifi but it does not reach the room
For a hostel it is great. Don't expect a private room experience. The location neighborhood wise is fairly quiet and very close to many stores, restaurants and all you need. It is kept clean.Rooms: 5/5
You get what you pay for. We had the bedroom on the 3rd floor which was good for the 3 of us. It was decent but wasn’t great either since the mugs weren’t washed. There was no wifi on the 3rd floor, floors/carpet felt sticky. No lifts, so you’ll have to carry heavy luggage 3 flights. I recommend if you’re only looking to save and sleep there and the location is great, it’s close to everywhere.
Can't swing a cat in this hotel! Whether in your room or in the shower/bathroom. If I owned this I would be embarrassed to take money for lodgings. As for the garden part of the hotel, that would be on the train tracks.Rooms: 1/5
I unfortunately booked this hotel. They put us on the top floor. No elevator and no help with luggage - which is what it is. The room was absolutely filthy. The bathroom smelled of raw sewage. The WIFI did not work in our rooms. We complained and got no where - went to their other hotel around the corner to complain and got no where. We booked into a nice ibis not far away. Don't waste your money at this place.
