Stay away from this place! They stole our money. The only good thing about this place is the neighbourhood. The bad: 1st thing: the room is small which we accepted as we only needed a place to sleep for 3 nights. The shower however, is extremely small, we had to keep the shower door open to fully wash ourselves. 2nd: our window couldn’t fully close and no real solution was provided by the one staff member no manager in sight. Not only that but while discussing with him about a solution he got to saying that WE are harrasing him. So basically the fact that we paid for a bed and were simply demanding not to sleep in a cold room with the wind at our head was harrasement. I’ll even leave a few photos proving the window was open on a February day the outside temperature being 0-2 Celsius.
Ideally located, rooms are small but sufficient for a short stay, reception staff are very friendly, breakfast was good and enough choice for everyone, kitchen staff were also friendly. Some of the reviews on here are unfair, it’s not as bad as people say it is. I’d certainly consider staying here again if I was in the area.
So cute for the price. We paid £69 last minute literally a few hours before for one night including breakfast. The place it a bit old fashioned so floors and bed are a tad creaky. That said, everything was clean and pleasant, and the staff were so sweet and attentive. The breakfast was very yummy and plentiful, could tell it was cooked with love instead of mass-produced buffet breakfast you get at most hotels.
Bad hotel. Holes in my towels. Holes in the bathroom door. Dirty. Tired. No manager at the weekends apprently. TV hanging off wall. Not hot water and shower was so small you can barely move. Only positive was the breakfast staff were really pleasant. This is almost worse than basic military accommodation .Rooms: 1/5
Very bad experience at this place, I know you get want you pay for but in march I paid less then this hotel and the conditions were massively better. The room was incredibly small! It had a double bed and there was bearly any space on either side. The TV was bearly hanging on the wall. The shower cubical was so small that nobody would be able to bend down to clean your feet. Stayed here on August so it was very hot outside but in this room it was like in a oven, no exaggeration! And to help us out with this incredible heat we had a table fan, a small table fan that in fact made no diference. So be warned ,if you want AC forget about it. The carpet in the room had a few big stains on it and even I noticed it as a bloke. My dearest wife found some let's call it 'dirt' on the cupboard, we did not dare to touch that. The only positive experience was the staff, especially the kitchen staff, even with their broken English they were very pleasant and served us well. When we booked this hotel we had a quick look at the pictures, I must say that they don't really represent the real thing.
Lovely single room. Clean but not very warm. Shower makes the whole room steamy which set off the fire alarm. However Very close to Finsbury Park tube and bus station. Nice location with a Lidl, pharmacy and lots of places to eat on the same road. Hotel has lovely staff. the only negative and annoying thing was to leave the key at reception every time you go out.
Room extremely small felt clostraphobic, shower was a box inside a box. Bit like a hostel.Staff are wonderful and breakfast was great. Don't like the area but convenient for public transport.Rooms: 1/5
Small claustrophobic room. Door to bathroom kicked several times damaged. Plus scruffy outside weeds n Xmas decorations not good first impression. Breakfast ok. Obviously cooked in advance very poor quality and lacking hosting skillsRooms: 1/5
Brilliant value for money. Very welcoming staff, lovely breakfasts in the morning, great value for money with the room. They’ve decorated the place really, really nicely for Christmas! Please tell your staff to take it easy with the key every time I for a cigi I’m not a thief and you’ve got my number lol! but other than that, absolutely perfect. Couldn’t have asked for better!
Not our first stay, and was glad to see them back after the pandemic. Breakfast staff is the best, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast options are great! Desk staff are amazing, going above and beyond to assist their guests. Location is fantastic for access to the tube, busses and the above ground rail. Don't forget Finsbury Park, right across the street!
