Quiet location, easily walkable to public transport/local pubs and restaurants. Nice lobby and front desk staff. Unfortunately, worst night sleep I’ve had in months and I have young children…. Allocated room 001 on the ground floor, next to the lobby. Room wasn’t at all big but that’s expected for London, however the walls must be made out of paper. A slamming door woke me up every couple of hours during the night and running water or pipe noise woke me during the hours between. I’m usually a very heavy sleeper. The bed was also uncomfortable with non-existent, thin pillows. Thankfully the rain shower in the morning was decent enough to wake me up. Nice staff and location but that’s about it. Very much not worth the price I paid unfortunately. Rooms: If you get given room 001, ask for a different one or wear noise cancelling headphones whilst sleeping!
Do NOT use the supposed Hotel Taxi service!! Before i start with that i do have to say the Staff was very Friendly and Helpful. The rooms are clean however a bit on the samll side. My stay was almost completely Pleasant. Now for the Scam. I believe it was Tuesday Nov 21st 2024 a very small amount of snow fell in London which seemed to have shut down the Uber app. Needing assistance i have an employee how i could call a Taxi.. To which he directed outside to a gray i believe Mercedes-Benz Vito Google it.. Its a nice Van along with the statement don't worry he will charge you about the same amout as Uber. Uber is approx 15 GBP to 20 GBP for a 15 minute ride approx 3.5 kilometer ride. The driver was very Friendly and Talkative and when i reached the office i did not pay attention to the card machine just swiped and went to work. Only when i was expensing my receipts in the evening did i see they charged me 50 GBP which equals to approx 85$ CAD I can say this is my fault for not confirming with the driver before departing and i should of checked the payment before swiping. I can also say that the Blakemore hotel should definitely review the companies they associate with as these might take advantage of a Business tourists
Stay here if you want clean rooms, great service and to be out of the hustle and bustle of the city centre. Pluses : Very clean, able to drop off luggage early and leave on our last day and collect later. Bar service very friendly and good prices. Breakfast a little expensive but lots of good food to choose from. The dining area is modern and staff attentive. All staff are friendly and the whole hotel is spotlessly clean!!! Walking distance to metro and Hyde Park which was fantastic. Some great restaurants literally down the road. Minuses: An alarm work us up in the middle of the night. Some street noise from lorry dropping/collecting linen at 07:00 a.m. I don’t think rooms need to be cleaned after just one nights stay or fresh towels given or a whole new set of mini toiletries as they are plastic. Not entirely environmentally friendly. Also they wouldn’t do anything special for my big birthday without charge when other hotels go all out for you. My sister in law received flowers, wine and balloons last year for her but the hotel wasn’t as nice. So swings and roundabouts I suppose. We would definitely recommend though for overall, it was perfect.
‏An uncomfortable feeling from the reception. The employee with dyed blond hair and dark skin was treated very poorly and intentionally insulted you by waiting and making you feel unwelcome. The baggage man with the beard searches for specific guests to serve in order to get a tip. The staff remained very wonderful, whether the other employee in the morning shift or the employees in the evening shift. For Sunday, July 14, welcome. I was hoping that they would check in. The room on Sunday was not clean. The bathroom was not clean, but on Monday, the room cleaning service was excellent for me. I will not stay at the hotel again because of the receptionist.
Had two wonderful stays here in April. The staff was very helpful and the rooms were very clean. It is a great location for shopping on Oxford Street and visiting the V and A, Natural History museum, Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens and also close to a tube station.Rooms: 5/5
We visited for afternoon tea and the service made the experience unenjoyable. The location of the hotel itself was great, easily accessible and on a quiet street! When we entered the hotel itself, the reception staff weren’t the most welcoming. We were told where to go for the tea and sat ourselves down. We were then greeted by a staff member who started pouring water for us without letting us know about a surcharge. We placed our orders for teas. Another staff member came over and placed a pot of tea onto our table snd walked away without informing us what tea it was. We then waiting for 15 minutes and the other pot of tea didn’t arrive so we had to ask about the second. The timing of how long the afternoon tea came out wasn’t too bad. The afternoon tea itself was lacklustre. Not enough condiments to go with the scones, the sandwiches were average, but the brownie and macaron were nice enough. Overall, there was a lot of waiting, no real customer service and it felt like we were just left to the side. It felt like we were a burden. The seating area also felt cramped, especially when it got filled up. We felt like a pack of sardines and we could barely hear each other.
Went here for their halloween afternoon tea and it was absolutely gorgeous! Big thanks to the staff who substituted the strawberry jam for me - they'll accommodated my allergies with no fuss so I'll definitely be going back!Service: 5/5
I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for an amazing stay at The blakemore hyde Park Hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the level of cleanliness throughout the hotel was outstanding. It made my time in London so much more enjoyable, and I truly appreciate the attention to detail. I look forward to staying with you again in the future!
My family and I stayed in two rooms at Blakemore in September 2024. The hotel is located around 10 minutes walk from three tube stations including Paddington, which was convenient for sightseeing. Staff were helpful when ir came to organising an early check-in/order taxis. The rooms themselves were well looked after and clean. The reception area looks like it has been updated recently, and the hotel looks much more modern compared to other hotels in the area. We would consider staying here again!
The location is very good, 10 minutes walk from Paddington station where Heathrow Express brings you in 20 minutes. It is also close to Hyde Park and Queensway and Bayswater. One can exercise in the former, and the latter bears a great variety of international restaurants. The decoration of the hotel is impressive. The facade is a range of glass windows bringing spacious feels and allows great street views from the restaurant. The hotel staff I encountered during my 6 days' stay was friendly and helpful. The cleanliness and tidiness of the room was exemplary, thanks to the efforts of housekeeper Danisa and Supervisor Niconetta. The latter also oversaw the operation of the restaurant during breakfast ensuring all patrons were adequately attended to despite it was extremely busy during peak hours. The quality and value of the breakfast were also remarkable. In all, the hotel is cosy and conveniently located. I will definitely stay when I visit London again.
