My husband was admitted on a Friday in August with a collapsed lung. The excellent A and E team stabilized him and on the Sunday evening he was having surgery. We were visiting from Yorkshire and were so impressed with everything. The care, expertise, and cleanliness was second to none. Thank you to the entire team for taking should good care of him.
I'm not one to play the race card, but this place it seemed very apparant to me at least. My very sick son who has serious history at this hospital in recent months was left to wait in the waiting room whilst certain people who came well after us had been called in. We were sat 2 metres away from the cubicle one was taken into. With silence in the waiting area you could hear everything and the person was being treated for a insect bite who walked in after us and got seen before us. This went on multiple times before I complained and got told off as well as shown so much attitude its unreal. NO HUMANITY left in people.
A family member was admitted to ambulatory care on 7/02/25 the early morning staff were ok… and the surgical/theatre team and her consultant Dr Jolly were amazing! However after she was brought to her bed13 on the ward in ambulatory care the service went downhill they were not caring or compassionate, all they cared about was staring at you and watching you incase you did anything wrong instead of looking out for the patients needs. The patient couldn’t speak or understand English and nothing was explained to her family neither were they contacted or spoken to when they went to pick her up. We were told she was ready to leave once we got there they still had her cannula in they didn’t give us an update from her doctors visit. If the nurses don’t care enough then a family member should be allowed to stay behind to help the patient.
Disabled Parking.nToday we came for an appointment.nAll of the blue badge spaces were full.nTrouble is no blue badges were displayed on nearly all of the spaces. We had to park just outside the hospital.nMy husband told the attendant in the booth.nHis replynIt's not my JobnThis needs to be rectified as people who are disabled and have badges are not being able to use the spaces provided.nThis is a formal complaint
Dr Abdul Hussain is by far the worst and most horrible person ever, I was sat in waiting for around 6 hours had to stand a lot because every time I would check there would be others taking your chair, I managed to get an xray done after all that wait time xray experience was good but then came the horror I was sat for another hour until they bought the doctor bear in mind they have 1 doctor and 1 nurse for all of those people because apparently everyone else left to go home and there are no other doctors except from Abdul Hussain I was called by him in a rude and stern manner he immediately just said ‘you are fine no bone breaking or dislocation’ place an ice pack on I was in an incredible amount of pain like I’m talking about a solid 8 like I can’t sleep eat drink because of the pain I was trying to find my way around the ice pack solution I asked if there is any numbing crème or injection he can give so I can eat he rudely said don’t you ever dare question a doctor again i am a trained doctor and I said I know I’m not questioning you but I really need something other than an ice pack I am in a lot of pain he said I can give you paracetamol I asked again if there is anything else that can be done he then threatened me and said i can either take the paracetamol and get out or he will get the security to come and kick me out bear in mind I’m a 16 year old with a very painful injury and he is acting like I am a threat or something. I then accepted the paracetamol, then he got a nurse to give it to me she has blonde hair and she had it put in a clip idk her name I asked for his name she said any complaints can be made on the …. The fact that she knew it was a complaint means she already knew this isn’t his first time like this also he took me to a unsterile room with blood and wrappers and masks all over the place. If you get Abdul Hussain as your doctor be careful from him I am sharing this on here in case anyone in the normal hospital gets him
