Had a good experience here. The waiting area was spacious with good number of seats, and it wasn’t too busy on a weekday. We were assessed quickly and then saw a doctor in an almost reasonable time, which made the visit feel smooth and reassuring.nThere is a charging station for smartphones and devices, which is super handy when you’re keeping kids entertained.nDespite some works outside, the entrance was still easy to find, with decent signage and pram-friendly access.
I am under the Birmingham children's hospital and I have been for 12 years so far since 3 ½ and the nurses, doctors, cleaners and all the staff are very professional and supportive of anything you are going through. They are always there to help. I must say in particular they have been amazing with CKD as I haven't really been admitted to other departments but overall a incredible and special place . I feel welcomed every time without fail
High Dependency Unit Nurse’s & Doctors I Couldn’t Thank Them Enough Threw Such A Scary Time They Saved My Daughter There Support Was Amazing Such a Touching Group Of People There Care Was Amazing Such Lovely Staff Each & Everyone Of Them! A Credit To The Hospital I Will Never Forget Them The Rest of The Wards I Wouldn’t Say So Much, Had Not The Best Experience With.
Thank you so much to all of the amazing staff at Birmingham Childrens Hospital who worked tirelessly to save my daughters life all staff were very supportive, helpful and knowledgable and I felt very supported and cared about while my baby girl went through three major open heart operations and was very sick in intensive care for multiple other conditions for other major organs and was in hospital for 4 and a half months. The cardiac surgeons, doctors and specialist cardiac nurses were all absolutely amazing especially when my baby needed emergency surgeries. All teams I had support from were outstanding and caring and kind during a very stressful and emotional time. Thank you with all my heart for all of your hard work and support which is ongoing and will be throughout my daughter's childhood. I will never forget how loved and welcome you made us feel and genuinely cared so much and put every effort into helping my baby girl. Thank you so much.
I live in the north of the uk so too get too this hospital is a three hour drive. This is fine despite the long drive because it is the only hospital in the uk that does combine transplant. However what isn’t fine is when I’m at my local hospital waiting for a transplant assessment and we get a call from bch liver team out of nowhere unprepared saying they want us down now, so we rush about and our local hospital call the bch renal team since I also have dyalisis, but turns out the renal team had no idea about the liver teams plan too get us down so we have no plan too do dyalisis so turns out we can’t go down and now we are really stressed, this has happened multiple times and really they should contact the renal team before hand, this is stressful and really effects my mental health, worst hospital in the UK, I have more complaints but my fingers hurt now, I need psychology appointments because of the stress.nnCurrent patient at the RVI, Ethan White.
