I needed to find the physio dept, I couldn’t find any directions online, and I didn’t find the signage in the hospital helpful, but maybe I’m stupid, so I ended up walking the wrong way, then once i turned in the correct direction, I was faced with stairs., yes there is a lift but I was on my own and I don’t like lifts. I was helpfully directed by a member of staff that physio was down the stairs. I know the QE staff are all super helpful but I wanted to get there under my own steam. Annoyingly when I got down the stairs I saw an entrance at that level, which meant I could have been dropped off there and done a fraction of the walking. So the main point of my review is if you need the physiotherapy dept in the heritage building don’t go in through the main entrance. Go in through the east entrance. There is blue badge parking, and patient drop off point for those of us who struggle to walk but don’t seem to qualify for a badge. I hope this helps anyone trying to locate physio before an appointment.
Use car park D if going to the Heritage Building at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital Edgbaston, there are car park charges, however if you have a blue badge you can park outside in designated spaces. There are quite a few spaces depending on what time you go. Once you arrive at The Heritage Building there is a reception desk, also signposts of the different clinics. Very friendly staff.
I stayed on the short stay ward on the 2nd floor earlier this month. The ward was very clean and all staff were wonderful very caring and supportive. I would like to say a big thank you to Mo, who was brilliant, nothing was too much trouble for him.
Well, our first visit here what a run down reception area house keeping mopped one strip of flooring, didn't fill up hand sanitisers didn't mop to edges never applied wet floor sign, then moped the toilet with the same mop head as the corridor and continued to mop rest of the space with wee mop so n8ce but then never even cleaned the dirty tissue and wrappers up from where I had to sit and this was from the day before. So not great
My daughter is under rare disease clinic here for alports disease and I must say it's a very poor hospital staff are rude when ask a question go see gp but then gp says speak to the specialist at rare disease clinic they have put my daughter on new tablets didn't check if ok had no test results my daughter suffers from panic attacks and has autism so how this place has treated her is disgusting and we won't be going again we want a transfer from here we need people who will take care of someone who is ill not keep being messed about
