Went here in an emergency as the bleeding did not stop after having my tooth removed by my local dentist the day before.nnThe team at reception were just amazing. They saw my situation and got me in to see the dentist / surgeon named Gareth, a truly high level remarkable and outstanding person. With his equally amazing team he stitched up the area.nnCannot thank the the team at reception and the team in the medical area, including the amazing Gareth enough.nnThank you.
Make sure you leave mega early for any appointment. Allowed myself 90 minutes for the 60 minute, 35 mile drive ample time previously. Got stuck in heavy traffic, arriving 22 minutes late and they flat out refused to see me because the maximum time is apparently 20 minutes.nI emphasised that I did try calling them en route so they could at least saved me the rest of the drive. Unfortunately it appears that the 20 minute rule is a one way street and does not apply to time you are made to wait or time to answer the phone. Nearly two hours and plenty of diesel wasted. Not great for one’s carbon footprint either.nNow it looks like a case of having to set out over two hours early for the drive with no prospect of being seen early at the hospital if the roads are clear. Absolute jokers.
Had a wisdom out here that was cracked decayed for a long time needed out!nI finally got round to dealing with it Was not straight forward to remove due to it being crackednI got booked in after had X ray which was annoying as I choose to go to Birmingham boots dental department fantastic friendly professional people there don’t be put off if have bit of a wait in waiting room depends on day I guessnIt was an option instead of waiting longer due to demand to go to dental hosp for X-raynOnce this was done I made an appointment at hosp to go get wisdom outnMy tooth was throbbing a bit again as it did on and off over past few months and think it was this that forced me to deal with itnand I was so glad I did as the procedure was a bit of a ordeal due to it being cracked whoever there was no pain and compared to that I did not care at that point what the dentist did at the hosp as I knew I was in good hands put me at easenThey removed my wisdom and it had to come out end of and I highly rate Birmingham dental hosp do not be scared it’s best place to deal with tooth probs make me feel comfortable and took care of me throughout I was not sedated either as I use to dental issues free of pain relief was huge once healed well no more grief from wisdom well worth itnI about half hour waiting area was busy but that just way it goesnnI recommend you go do not put it off it get worse more you prolong itnhighly recommend this hospital great service
Was referred here for an extraction. I called on Monday and was offered a consultation appointment on Thursday at 5.45pm as there was a cancellation. I was surprised but pleased that they have such late appointments. Also, parking in their car park is free after 5 pm.nThe staff were really friendly and welcoming throughout. The dentist talked me through everything and answered questions about my teeth. He gave great advice and said he would write to my dentist with recommendations.nI got another cancellation and was able to book my extraction for 11 am, the next day.nThe dentist and nurse were fantastic again, explaining and talking me through everything they did. The extraction was straightforward and didn't take long. The nurse then talked me through the aftercare and answered all my questions.nI can not recommend the service at the dental hospital more highly. Thank you to all concerned.
My brother is currently in constant pain with a hole in his wisdom tooth, stopped eating, losing weight, yet they have said they have no date to treat him until September. He is autistic, no speech, cannot communicate how much pain he's in, cannot take anything stronger than paracetamols, can't even swallow tablets, so he is currently on soluble paracetamols everyday that's not working. How cruel can this system be? My brother has been suffering for weeks now...you wouldn't treat a dog like this.
