Likely the best odeon in the Greater London area. Easy to get to, great staff, and the seats are comfortable.nThe seating on this screen 2. I’d say best seats would be c and d. Not too close not too far.nThe room is in that half dome style.
I'm sorry to have to write such a poor review but after two poor experiences over a month I just can't let this slide.nnThe cinema attendant and staff were nice and courteous, no problem there. The problems I experienced were technical and likely related to poor or cost cutting management:n1. 3 weeks ago Fri 26Jun when I was there during the heatwave the AC wasn't functional. Apparently it was going to be seen to on Monday so I was under the impression that it was a recent issue and accepted a movie voucher as compensation. However I subsequently read an additional review which was dated a full month earlier 27may also complaining of this issue. I feel let down and while I was not directly lied to, feel that management were economical with the truth. And definitely stingy with resolving a serious issue.n2. Today 13jul I went to see another movie and had to deal with a significant level of jitteryness. Every 10-15mins the film would stop start in 5-10 second steps lasting 2-3 mins. I notified staff after 30min of this, but it could not be resolved without rebooting the system which would take an additional half an hour.nnI've watched movies in cinemas for over 50y and have never in all that time experienced such poor performance. And that's movies in some of the remotest places in the world too with inadequate access to technical resources to resolve issue. If I can get good AC in an Odeon in remote Gisborne NZ on a 35C day in 1976 I really should have no problem in London 50y later!nnIt is unacceptable for a cinema in a major metropolitan city such as London to perform so poorly.
I am usually a Vue customer but thought I'd treat myself to a 'Luxe' experience for my favourite series Spider-Man. I am sad to say after this overpriced and disappointing experience I will not be returning as it did not meet the Luxe standard in any form.nnThe AC was not working in the cinema on a nearly 30 degree day and the staff working the desk were quite unhelpful. The men spoke rudely to customers who were just trying to make an enquiry and instead of listening to the polite requests, they assumed what they were going to say and spoke loudly over the top of them.nnTo top it off the popcorn was cold and it was not worth the over 50 pounds price tag for my partner and I.
Amazing cinema, my local one. Seats are so comfy and tables are just perfect. Screen 1 and 2 are big, screen 3 decent sized.
We went today, 25th July, to see Odyssey, which is almost 3h. There was no air con in the cinema and both our reclinersA8&9were not working so the seats were very uncomfortable. Very stuffy and uncomfortable experience. We told an attendant on way out but they seemed fed up. You can’t charge £18 per ticket and not provide what you advertise for it, which is a lux cinema with air condition and the recliners. It makes a big difference especially if the movie is 3h long. Disappointing.
