We watched The Northman there recently and I was excited to see how they transformed the cinema. It definitely looks better than before - seats are good, it is spacious... From what I understood from their website, the bar is available only for members. Which is a shame if it's true. We didn't try to visit the bar this time as our screening was quite late 20:30 and we went straight in. But as a regular cinema visitor and a fan, I would rather go to one of the other cinemas in the area which offer non members bar even delivered to your seat, great atmosphere for the same price.
Corner site mid Fulham road. Nearest tube Gloucester rd. Art Deco facade. Former Odeon and Cineworld film outlet. It's much more comfortable to sit in as a Picture house venue because the seats are wider, and the aisles are better spaced. Bags, brollies, coats can all be near your feet while you watch the movie..No ear splitting decibel laden sound system, or long previews of other films coming soon or awful local ads. Relaxing, calm. There's a lovely in house cafe restaurant that we didn't see until we'd been elsewhere. Corridors lined with interesting framed posters. Only thing that lets it down are the toilet facilities. They're a little jaded, particularly the disabled one.
Went to see The Woman King, we were only like 3 people in the whole cinema. Great film house though, just seems like a lot of people don't go there on weekdays.
Not exactly cheap, but we had the Meerkat 2-4-1 offer. The seats were very nice, comfortable recliners and the quality of the film, audio and visual was very good. My wife and I had the whole cinema to ourselves mainly because we were in the early afternoon showing. Got snacks from the supermarket over the road so didn't get stung by the expensive offerings they sell.
Beautiful set up, feels like booked privately as not many people are in the room.
I had a great experience here recently seeing the film about photographer Nan Goldin. The venue was very clean, calm, welcoming and warm, but most of all, the staff were exceptional and went well above 'above and beyond' for me. Thanks for a genuinely lovely experience.
There happened to be a problem with the heating on that day but the cinema provided us with hot chocolate and a blanket if one wished. Not a problem! Great cinema I often drop in if in London.
Has to be one of the best cinemas we have been too, and we have been lucky enough to review quite a fair amount in and around London. First of all, the location is excellent; it's not too far of a walk from South Kensington, Imperial Wharf or West Brompton. The actual cinema is part of the Picture House chain, and we felt the best one visited yet. Completely redone, you can tell by even the smell of new paint and furniture! Feels like walking into a more modern west end theatre - it has that vibe but a cinema instead. It's brilliant! You have on the first floor a bar, serving drinks popcorn and if you go upstairs there is a cafe area, that serves the coffees and cakes, you go up another level there is a proper bar, food and seating area. It's well spread out and feels like a real sense of quality attached to it! We would recommend anyone to at least try it. Plenty of restaurants to try out, around the area also. Solid A***** from us. Can't wait to go back! LDT x
Misinformed staff and arrogant management. Was told by the teller staff that we can sit anywhere in the cinema as no seats will be assigned. When I asked if I could choose seats anyway then the response was that “the system does not allow it”. When we were in the cinema we were assigned seats right at the front which is not my preference, we sat anywhere as directed but then forced to move thrice because of people’s online bookings where they chose their seats. Other guests were experiencing the same issue and so I went to speak the the manager where he had no idea as to what I was talking about and also spoke to me in a very condescending manner. Unfortunately we were left with seats that we were not happy with and no solution. A night that we thought would be nice and relaxing turned into a stressful and uncomfortable situation. I do not recommend this cinema.
Beautiful art deco cinema. Helpful staff, comfortable seats and comfortable quiet nice bar. Never seems that busy for some reason.
