Quite a small lobby. Staff were a mix of very friendly and helpful, and curt/short and unhelpful. 
Rooms are great value for money though. Beds were some of the most comfortable I have had. King coil mattresses made especially for the hotel chain. Medium firmness.

This generic example of the Mercure brand is well-located in Fountainbridge/Haymarket and is adequately appointed. Rooms are comfortable and provide Apple TV connectivity, while front-desk staff are efficient and keen to help guests. Room service food leaves a lot to be desired, offering only frozen pizzas and microwaved (and therefore overly-dry) toasted sandwiches. Breakfast, on the other hand, offers a variety of options and is well-prepared. A solid 3.5-star hotel.

First time at Mercure Edinburgh Haymarket.
My sister and i stayed for 2nights.
Very handy to city night spots.
Hotel decor was really nice.Very clean, Staff were very helpful and friendly we enjoyed our stay.Must say we will be back!!

What a brilliant shower and a fantastic room, so lovely and modern. Felt so relaxed it was hard to leave. Also very understanding about me checking in covered in mud (had been paintballing), I was so worried and they were lovely.

Comfortable, not far from most of the attractions in the city. Good places for varying the breakfast nearby.
