Mayhew were brilliant.nWe adopted a cat from Mayhew in March 2025, having been turned away by one very prominent animal rehoming centre, and another lesser known one as well.nOf the three centres, Mayhew was the only one that carried out a 3 stage screening. We filled in a questionnaire and attended a telephone interview. At that point we were invited to go to the centre to meet our new family member.nFinally, a team member and volunteer inspected our home to check arrangements and answer any questions we might have had.nIt was professional and caring from the outset.nMatthew was very helpful and clear about what was expected throughout the process.nAnd now, we are three!

I adopted the love of my life Miss Dolly Purrrrton from Mayhew and have become a lifelong supporter. Thank God for this amazing charity helping so many beautiful babies find loving homes. God bless you

Great Charity rehousing cats and dogs. The staff are so friendly and obviously care greatly about the animals in their care. Would recommend them if you are looking for a rescue animal. The descriptions of the animals is honest and thorough, which is super important. The garden is small but large enough to meet your prospective dog, and a short walk around the local roads was great.

We had an excellent experience when we adopted our 2 kittens from here. Matt was very professional and clearly knew a lot about the cats in Mayhew’s care. He patiently answered our questions and guided us on how to make our kittens feel safe and happy in their new home.

The best vets you could ever go to there are so helpful wouldn't take my dog anywhere else for her vaccinations.
