The palace is absolutely beautiful inside, but no photography. We really enjoyed our visit there. It's is a good bit of walking around but benches to rest on. There is a 20 minutes walk one you get outside to get back out to the main street but once again plenty of benches to rest.
Visiting Buckingham Palace was an absolutely magical experience! The grandeur of the interiors, the elegance of the decor, and the deep sense of history in every room made it truly unforgettable. It was incredibly fascinating to learn more about the Royal Family, their traditions, and to feel, even for a moment, like we were stepping into a living piece of history.nnThe exhibitions were beautifully curated, informative, and full of unique details — perfect for anyone curious about the monarchy and British heritage. The State Rooms were simply breathtaking, and walking through them gave us a real sense of the scale and splendour of royal life.nnIt was such a special day, both beautiful and meaningful. I’d highly recommend a visit — it’s a wonderful way to connect with the heart of British culture and create lasting memories.
As a disabled person using a mobility scooter, all accessibility needs are catered for at the Palace. The staff are extremely helpful and welcoming and I had a lovely visit. No photos are allowed to be taken so I bought the souvenir book to look back on photos. Great way to trigger your memories.
A historic place! If you go for the Changing of the Guard, try to get a place next to the main fence. You’ll get to see every up close. Try to arrive an hour early. Crowds gather fast. Bring water and be prepared to stand the whole time. The ceremony takes about 45 minutes.
you can feel the history behind the building. A truly wonderful palace, with stunning architecture and beautifully maintained surroundings. Watching the Changing of the Guard adds to the charm, making it a must-see landmark when visiting London.
