Story

MarinabytheSea is a new, unassuming and cosy place to stay in Brighton. It occupies a totally restored Regency building, offering a home from home experience with a touch of glamour. Located in Kemptown, off St. James's Street and its many Cafes and Restaurants, yet tucked away from the hustle and bustle from pubs and night clubs, it is right by the seafront and minutes walk from all Brighton major attractions and the railway station. The South Downs are only ten minutes drive away.

Run personally by Marina & Sons, it is a family affair that celebrates gorgeous Brighton and its wonderfully diversified culture, firmly focused on customer satisfaction - without the big price tag. It offers a variety of well appointed and fresh rooms, ranging from singles, superior doubles/twins and premium doubles with sea views to superior family rooms and exquisite Bridal Suites with Jacuzzis for two and under floor heating. All rooms are fully ensuite, and furnishings have been handpicked from local antique markets, lending each room its own character and warmth.

As an added personal touch, Marina can provide little extras of your choice for those special occasions, and even bake you fresh cookies or cinnamon rolls on your arrival - just ask!

Had a wonderful stay with Marina. The location is great, just 5 minutes from the pier. We stayed in the room with the large hot tub which was really relaxing.  The best thing about it all was Marina herself. Her warmth and kindness made our stay really special, will definitely be coming back!

PERFECTION!! This place is absolutely wonderful. Marina is the best host you could ask for, attentive and caring, makes you feel so at home. The rooms are so sweet, lots of little splashes of Brighton dotted about the place. The idea of having vouchers for breakfast at 3 different cafe's nearby is genius. We tried all 3 and each has their own plus points, all are delicious!  We have never stayed somewhere and felt so welcome and we both agreed we would be coming back as soon as possible. Thank you Marina, keep up the excellent work!!

Stayed here for 5 days to attend a conference at the conference centre.  Marina was brilliant, very accomodating  and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. Lovely big bay window with sea views.  Breakfast was available at three local cafes using a voucher supplied by Marina, we tried two of them and both were very nice. If I return to Brighton wouldn't hesitate to stay again and would recommend. Marina you are a lovely welcoming host.   John and Gillian

Me and my friend stayed here this week and were overwhelmed with our warm welcome.  Marina is the best host and didn’t hesitate to help us with anything we needed.  The place was clean & beautifully decorated and made our stay in Brighton just that extra bit special. Thank you.

My boyfriend and I stayed here last November in the superior double room. We only stayed for one night which  included an amazing jacuzzi and beautiful sea view.  Marina is an absolutely lovely lady and is very welcoming. We cannot wait to return in the summer which will be for a week this time as we loved it so much!

This B&B is closing soon and you can see that the host isn't motivated enough to maintain the building. The enterence is messy and realy small, just like the stairs. The rooms on the other hand are spacious and clean, but the bathrooms could be cleaner!

Lovely cosy place if you are a couple. Beds are comfy and clean. Owner is really friendly and approachable. Breakfast is served at one of the restaurants in the next road.

Lovely host, clean and well laid out room. Location is perfect, with the beach/pier 5 mins walk away.

We booked Marina by the Sea for the Brighton Marathon Weekend 2018 We booked our stay well in advance to secure our room which was ideal as her B&B was just yards from the Marathon Village and finish line Marina is a very friendly and accomodating lady that really cares about your stay On arrival we had a warm welcome and she explained everything we needed to know about the hotel As Marina dont supply breakfasts she gave us a voucher so that we handed in to the local cafe that she reccomends We would definitely use or recommend Marina by the Sea again on any return trips to Brighton
