Hotel was clean and presentable and we were greeted with a smile. Room wasn't quite ready when we arrived so waited in the narrow corridor for 5mins. Room was on the top floor no lift and it seemed the higher you went, the more wonky everything became quite disorientating after a few drinks. The room was very nice. Good carpet, very comfy bed and the best shower I've had in a long time. Few issues such as bulbs not working in some of the ceiling lights, toilet flush button broken and very creaky floor but overall good value for money and would definitely stay again.
Our first room #3 was very small, window would not open very far and no good ventilation. The room was very warm, the toilet leaked all over the bathroom floor and the shower would not drain properly. They moved us to a different room #G2, the front of the building. Only one window would open, room was warm and street noise was very loud. The headboard of the bed was an enclosed radiator. Both rooms NEED some deep cleaning. Woke up to very loud, inconsiderate people at 4 am. Would not recommend this place. On a good note, our friends we were traveling with lost her bracelet at the B & B. The staff there found the bracelet and returned it. Nice to know there are honest people working there.
My mom and my sister stayed here. I have booked a room for them. When they arrived the were pretty relived about the room because of the reviews read online. Nice and clean. The problem started when they went back in the room one evening and room was occupied from another couple. The receptionist and the cleaners didn't realise the room was still occupied by my mom for other 2 nights. Their luggage were still in the wardrobe so you can understand they don't clean the wardrobe for a check out room! they give us a refund but this is unacceptable! Full of old doors that you have to slam to close them, so you won't be able to sleep because of your neighbours who need to shut their door.
I would give this place 0 stars if I could. There are plenty of fabulous places and hotels to stay in Brighton and this is definitely NOT one of them. Do not waste your time or money in staying here. We arrived early, and we informed them that we would be doing this. We arrived around 1 and dropped off our luggage and stored in their luggage store. We gave the employee in the office £5 for this, then was FURTHER charged ANOTHER £5 to my card, after taking the cash I had given them earlier. We were told check in was at 3, so we arrived back at 3:30 and was given our key. We went up to the room to find it completely untouched from the previous guest. Bed was completely unmade, dirty coffee cups on the table, wet towels on the bed resulting in wet sheets, no clean towels, no toiletries. We went down to the office to inquire about the situation and was informed that the room wouldn't be cleaned for another few hours and we would not have fresh towels, etc. until then. We had an event to attend early that evening and we booked this room simply to get ready which we couldn't do. We left and I received my £5 they stole from us and eventually they refunded the full payment for the room, but that does not make up for the huge inconveniences we faced that day. Definitely avoid this place at all costs.
My husband and I stayed at the Sea Breeze for a night and had a pretty good stay. I had read reviews from others regarding receiving info prior to arrival, so since I hadn't, I called ahead and asked lots of questions about check-in, breakfast, and so on. Glad I did, because otherwise we would've had no way to access our room or the breakfast the next day as there is no front desk. The room is tiny, but for the price we paid, we felt we couldn't really complain. Breakfast was at a nearby hotel and worth the rate we paid for the room - really good and friendly staff too! For the price, location, and breakfast, we'd return to the Sea Breeze, I'd just advocate for better communication beforehand!
Make no mistake, this is a guest house without the personal service. The room left a lot to be desired with a 13A socket hanging off the wall and only 1 socket working. Bed was comfortable once in it but the bed frame made it very uncomfortable to get in and out of. The final straw was that I received an email on the first night telling me I had to take breakfast at a different hotel which is fine if the weather is good but if it were cold and wet? It was cheaper than the average for Brighton but you get what you pay for. On a final positive note, the breakfast was very good at the other hotel but you really don't expect to travel to a different hotel.
It was a spoiled holiday for us from the moment we walked in. Tiny place and dirty right from the front door. The room we got was a tiny box by the stairs with badly dripping shower and a bathroom inside the wardrobe. The door into the wardrobe-shower was not sliding properly either. The room we had was not even shown on their website. They only show fancy rooms but they are not what you will get. No parking outside whatsoever. Not even in a nearby area. I had to park miles away. Manager refused to give us an adequate room and refused to call the plumber to fix the problem. We were booked for 2 nights but we didn't stay in this place even for one. The manager still charged us for it. He found it fair. They didn't care about the fact that they ruined our holiday and despite a sensible conversation the Manager decided that money are much more important. Their breakfast room is tiny too and they cook breakfast in the back room for you on a little portable stove. Luckily we didn't have to taste it... I could carry on but will upload photos as well - they say better than words. in 3 words ; AVOID THIS PLACE - there are hundreds of other places around. It was nothing there to like -terrible place. Dirty, tiny and very poor customer service. Actually - no customers service at all. If you respect yourself - go elsewhere.
Room comfortable but needs updating. 13a socket hanging off the wall and only 1 working socket. Had to take breakfast nice breakfast though at a different hotel which is fine if the weather is good but... No parking available for the length of stay and unless you want to keep moving your car, expect to pay £25 min to park for 24-hours. Staff I met were friendly and helpful but this is more a guest house than an hotel. It's priced competitively for Brighton but I'm afraid in this case, you get what you pay for.
Booked at short notice. Usually we book the premier Inn so we didn't know what to expect. First, the company Lifestyle Hotels admin sent an internal email but copied not bcc all of the guests in. A breach of data protection. Then, the check-in email asked for photo ID, which I didn't have with me. I tried to phone but their office isn't open on weekends, Luckily we were able to get into our room anyway. The room was on the small side, but adequate and clean. It was noisy at night but I guess that's not their fault. To sum up, the room was good but they need to review their processes.
Booked 2 rooms as we are a family of 6 travelling to attend a wedding. We had to contact them about 6 times by email and phone for check in details and also confirming each time that we needed the early check in option. When we arrived the rooms were not ready and the receptionist had no idea we needed early check in even though I showed him the email request and confirmation. When we finally got into the rooms about 50 minutes after the early check in time Rooms were tatty and very hot and insufficient blinds to keep the light out at night meant a lack of sleep. Would not recommend.
