Was originally booked in a single room at Sea Spray Hotel but found out on arrival that my room had been double booked by mistake and they were kind enough to move me to an upgraded double room at their sister hotel, The Charm. On arrival, I was impressed by the clean, nice smelling interior and received by the friendly receptionist who was well aware of what had happened and checked me into my new room swiftly. The room was beautifully decorated and well kept, bathroom was spotless and everything I needed was within a stone’s throw. Despite being just off the seafront and off a busy road, surroundings were quiet and I had a most enjoyable night’s sleep and a lovely hot shower in the morning. Would have been nice to have a discount on hourly parking rates as a hotel guest but that still would not stop me from staying here again in the future, thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Rooms: Beautifully kept, clean and modern. Nearby activities: You can see the vast Brighton seafront from the front door! Walkability: Lots of shops, restaurants and attractions within a few minutes walk.
Very nice hotel by the sea and the staff were so nice, they made a very welcoming and friendly environment for us. Got a King suite and it didn’t disappoint it was large and clean with good quality furniture. The balcony was also nice with sea view. Everything was good the only issue I could come up with was the spa service and pricing structure, didn’t seem clear or reasonable. Had to get 1 hour slots for steam room and hot-tub separately ? 40 pounds for each service? I still don’t know how it works?? This prevented us from tying the spa. We did enjoy the stay here and would go back.
Unfortunately a bad experience for us. At £200 a night I would expect a near perfect room but have left bitterly disappointed . - we were given the lower /basement room which is below street level. You can hear everything from the street. And given this is a converted Victorian house , the single pane windows are unforgiving. - directly above our room was another, and above our bed, our neighbours toilet. The paper thin walls/floors meant we could hear everything…EVERYTHING. Not pleasant. The waste pipe felt like it was directly next to the bed. I slept with earplugs but given this and the above point I have had a terrible nights sleep. - the sink in our room had quite a large leak with the drainage pipe coming loose. The staff member was attentive and had it fixed hence the higher score for service but as they were fully booked couldn’t move us. - breakfast was only OK, they had a wide selection. There are plenty of cafes so given our experience I wish we would have gone elsewhere but we already had prepaid. It’s a shame we didn’t get the experience others have described, Charm Hotel should be charging less for such a room, It was Room 1 FYI.
Had a great time here, got one of the better rooms and it didn’t disappoint, very clean and nice. Staff are all outstanding, nice and friendly. I was planing to go the spa but it seemed unreasonably expensive for 1 hour session of steam room and hot tub which had to be done separately!? Anyway, still a good little hotel. Would definitely come back. Thanks.
Lovely hotel. Had deluxe room which was spacious, clean, had a comfortable bed and a lovely shower. The room also had loads of plugs more than 10 and USB ports available which is great for all the stuff we bring nowadays that needs charging. Lots of restaurants nearby and not far from The Lanes and town. We went to Brighton via train so no parking to comment on really but it looked like on street paid. Hotel was 20min walk from train station and right by the seafront, pier, and Sealife Centre.
Right near the beach this super cute hotel is perfect for a weekend get away. If you have low leg strength, make sure to get a room nearer to the ground floor. We got top floor, which is fine for us, but I can imagine it's difficult for some. Pros are it's quiet. Calm. I like this place. :- Nearby activities: There's loads to do around here. Clubs and night life. Beach. Shopping at the lanes Walkability: It's a super walkable town. Go to the lanes. You won't be disappointed Food & drinks: Loads to eat nearby. Amazing vegetarian options. Love the random coffee shops around and beautiful cocktail bars. Quirky pubs too
