Strawberry Fields

About

Strawberry Fields is a friendly, stylish Brighton B&B. You can find us on the New Steine, a seafront square under 10 minutes from Brighton and the Pier.

Story

We've got a fantastic location, sea views from the front and only a couple of minutes walk from Brighton Pier and City centre with the Conference centre just a short stroll along the seafront.

We welcome guests from across the world and from just around the corner. We will do all we can to help you get the most from your stay, whether you are visiting on a weekend break, working or studying here or just looking for a comfortable night's sleep in Brighton.

We pride ourselves in being able to suggest the best that Brighton has to offer, whether it’s award winning restaurants, quirky tea rooms, gay friendly bars or somewhere for a group to celebrate – just ask the experts.

You can choose to pop out to one of our many local cafe's and deli's for a 'full English' breakfast or a 'foodie extravaganza. Alternatively, for just £5 per person, we can deliver"Brunch in Bed" (Hot Bacon Baguettes or Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese Bagel) right to your room for you to enjoy at the time of your choice!

Enjoy your break, your way...

Definitely not a great hotel at all, the staff was extremely rude and made us stay in the rain for 4 hours as they prepared a tiny room with no furniture apart from the bed, and the TV was so small and was all the way across the room. I also got kicked out because I explained to them that I didn't like how rude they were and then I had to plan a return trip with national express the coach company that brought me to Brighton because I didn't want to stay any longer because of my terrible experience there. Moral of the story, there's better hotels out there that don't treat you like trash and gives you a wierd side eye like the guy working there who completely ruined my entire holiday.
I tried to check in last night, a walk- in reservation around 22;00pm… I had unexpectedly had to leave a situation I did not want to be apart of I walked 30mins to this hotel, I was greeted by a polite receptionist who asked me for a bank card & id. My provisional driving licence was expired so they could not accept my booking, even though it is still a valid form of id. As this hotel was in my budget for an expected expense, I then spent another 4hrs wondering the streets until I could check in elsewhere within my budget, I just feel a little more consideration should have been given. I could have paid a deposit ect, but this option wasn’t given to me. I left the hotel visibly upset with no onwards plan. I am a decent human being who just needed a bed for the evening. I understand you have undesirables wondering in, but that wasn’t me. Maybe next time a lone female wonders in, you can’t be a little more hospitable.
The hotel is in such a great location really central and very convenient for all of the attractions in Brighton, however the room itself was less than satisfying. It was incredibly small with no fan or air conditioning which meant that it was unbearably hot to sleep in, again this would be fine but to charge £70 a night for a room the size of a cupboard with a shower and sink in is incredibly steep. I'm probably just whining too much because I have to bear in mind that it was a heatwave but I just think the price could've be a lot of fairer for what I had to endure on the two nights I stayed.
We were here for only two nights, but it was really nice. No luxuries or anything but it is what you pay for: a cozy place to sleep! I don’t know if it was because the previous days we stayed in a not-so-comfy place, but the beds were really comfortable and I had a really good sleep! It’s a good location near the beach and the town center. Check-in and check-out were really fast! I think the only downside would be that our bathroom was one floor downstairs, but to be honest it isn’t that big of a deal especially if you’re spending the day outside and only go there to sleep or rest a bit. Would love to come back!
Strawberry Fields is a lovely guesthouse to stay in right on the seafront. We stayed for three nights last week and we had a lovely sea view. The only downside would be that there is no fridge in the room, I would strongly recommend putting fridges in the rooms, so that guests can purchase drinks to consume of an evening / in the morning that aren't room temperature. Apart from this, we had no complaints and loved our stay!
Me and my boyfriend stayed one night here. The shower had three different types of hairs in there as well as the shower absolutely flooding the bathroom when it was on. Weird spots of blood on one of the pillows as well as a weird smell everywhere in the room and just bits all over the carpet which definitely needed a hoover. The location couldn’t be better, probably the only good bit. Also was nothing at all like the pictures Nearby activities: Quick access to town and beach
Lovely little place, we only got to stay for one night, but we will return. Nice new shower room in the family room, tea/coffee facilities - 2 minute walk to the pier and there's a lovely idians just at the top of the road. There is plenty of room for a family of 4 Ironing facilities Hair dryer TV WiFi Clean and comfortable.
I’ve stayed at Strawberry Fields about three times. Being honest, you get what you pay for. This is a cheap hotel on the front close to the pier. The rooms are basic and in need of renovation. But, they’ve always been clean and I’ve not struggled with availability. It’s not the most comfortable and in the summer the rooms are hot. Versus other hotels you’re gonna save some money by staying here especially if it’s just for a bed to crash in.
First mini break for mum & myself since my dad passed away & we made the right choice. Our en suite room was lovely & clean with a fantastic sea view & everyone that worked there were extremely helpful. Planning another stay there with my fella next month, can’t wait!! Cheers guys Rooms: Exceptionally clean & tidy Nearby activities: Sealife Centre; Brighton Pier; Brighton Pavillion Walkability: Right near everything
I needed a room last minute. It was 10:30 PM when I booked it. There were not many options in 100 quid price range. This was simply awful. The building is at least 100 years old so it has clearly shifted. The place is WORN. The floor and consequently the bed were not level. I was not able to sleep. I finally woke up and wedged the feet of the bed with rolled up towels to make it level. The carpet was old and falling apart. There was no toilet in the room, just a shower. That was not spelled out clearly in the descriptions. I guess that’s what ‘attached shower’ means. Definitely one of my all time worst hotel experiences at any cost. I would have left if it was not 11:30 PM. I was kind of stuck. The man at the desk was very fleabag motel mentality. Not pleasant. But like in a movie, his attitude fit the place.
