I stayed here solo 2 for nights and for the price I paid I cannot complain. The room is clean and pretty big for one person. I stayed at a shared bathroom room and the toilets and shower are clean also. I don't think you share with a lot of people. I'm happy to stay here again in the future. Price is reasonable and location unbeatable, 2 minute walk to Kings Cross station!
I’ve stayed at the Macdonald Hotel every time I visit London, and it never disappoints. The location is unbeatable—just a 2-minute walk to the Underground, which connects you to six different lines. The rooms are always clean and comfortable and I love the family-friendly owners. Cafe's, restaurants and bars are on your doorstep when you stay at the Macdonald Hotel.
Good location. Rooms and facilities are severely lacking. Fair enough it's on the cheaper end but for 20quid more a night round the corner you can have a shower that works a bed that is comfortable and has a lift. In response to the owner, yes I can tell how comfortable a bed is going to be from a picture. Walkability: Kings Cross a minute away, decent restaurants about the same.
Location and price is perfect for what we needed. The rooms were clean, staff was helpful when we needed maintenance’s help and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. The separate shower; toilet , and sink was odd at first but honestly not bad if you are just here to sleep and tour the city during the day. Overall, was satisfied with my stay and was a great value for the price!
Amazing service! People with understanding and determend to meet to your needs! Althougt it's obviously and old establishment it perfectly clean!!! The room was kind of small but I wouldn't have noticed if I were not stricken by my panik attacks. Still, feeling safe in the building made things easier. And last but not least the location was absolutely convenient! If I go back in London it's easily my first choice.
Got a room downstairs and found it a bit musty. From other reviews the upstairs rooms look a bit better. If you just need a place to sleep, it is fine. Great location.Rooms: 2/5
The reception was so friendly! And this hotel held a reasonable price and a perfect spot for those just arrived by train in King’s Cross. The room was a bit small but so clean! Definitely recommended!Rooms: 5/5
I stayed for two nights end of March. Great budget hotel. As a female solo traveller it felt, safe and welcoming. I had a single room with ensuite - extremely clean. The room was small but perfect. Would stay with you again. Rooms: Small single room with ensuite- small but perfect for me as a solo traveller. And very clean. Safety: Female solo travel, felt safe, good area. Made very welcome by staff.
Perfect little spot near kings cross. Very small room but it had a bathroom in it with shower and, tv. We just needed a place to crash before we flew out abs, this was great. Good price too.Rooms: 4/5
This is what it is - a budget hotel within spitting distance of Kings Cross Station. We slept, we left, we had a lovely breakfast in the vicinity. Exactly what we wanted.Rooms: 3/5
