Had a very nice stay at this hotel. My room was in the top floor so quite a climb up the stairs but that’s fine, it could’ve benefitted from a lick of paint though to freshen it up. Nice view out over the crescent and the tennis courts & it felt quite surreal to just hear the noise of people having fun playing tennis rather than the traffic noise of Euston Road which is just around the corner. The service was very friendly & helpful & I have no hesitation in recommending it if you need a stay in Central London.
Bit of a hidden gem! I usually go for the chain hotels like Point A if I need an overnight stay in Kings X, but I'll be staying here from now on. Rooms were clean, good sized and aside from a couple of areas that needed a lick of paint, well presented. Staff on the front desk were lovely and accommodating, and the location couldn't be much better for being near the main stations etc.
Terrible experience. First there is no elevator whatsoever so be prepared to haul your luggage up steep narrow stairs. Staff makes no effort to help and was rather unhelpful in general. The room was like a cell. The tiny bed in the corner rolled around on its wheels and there was hardly room to open a suitcase. There were some sort of stains on the walls. Outside was loud with car alarms regularly going off for the entire night. Also loud banging and groups of people drinking and yelling. The bathroom was also unbelievably small. I had to painfully push myself past the folding shower door. It was like an airplane bathroom with a small shower attached. The room door was bizarre. The bottom was cut at an angle and never touched the floor. So there was zero privacy. Along those lines you could hear any and everything going on outside from the conversations to loud walking. Another example - the floors were often sloped or buckled. the place is just rough. All in all you would do yourself a favor to look elsewhere. The place felt inadequate for a traveler and frankly run down and a little sketchy. Not comfortable in fact the opposite. More a hostel than anything.
A great stay at this friendly, helpful, no frills hotel. We were in the annexe, which was functional, but no great views. A decent breakfast included in the stay, great to be able to leave our bags for the day after checking out and really nice being right by the gardens. An excellent location for central London. Well worth the stay and recommend this place.
Reservations, check in and out were fast and straightforward. They stored our luggage until check in time with no charge. The location was convenient to multiple transit options and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable of the area.Breakfast was a full English breakfast and was available during posted times. The area was quiet with many different dining venues.Everything was as promised and better than expected. Will definitely stay again when we visit London again.
We had a lovely stay at the Judd Hotel this May. The location was just a short walk from the underground station we were traveling with backpacks, so that was highly appreciated! and directly across from a small park which was a peaceful oasis in the city. The surrounding neighborhood was a great mix for people-watching with many restaurants within walking distance. The hotel itself was clean, quiet, and well organized. We arrived early, but the front desk staff logged our luggage and locked it in a cabinet while we went sightseeing. The beds were comfy, and we slept well. The only possible negative was the breakfast room being crowded each morning. However, the staff kept everything running smoothly, and we appreciated being able to eat before going out for the day. We would definitely stay here again!
It has aircon compared to other hotels in the area. Really nice breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff. Love the scents of their shower gels/shampoo. Very centrally located to everything! Would highly recommend it. Next time I'm in London, would go back again.Rooms: 5/5
Booked for 1 night primarily for its excellent location a stones throw from Kings Cross. Peaceful location off any major thoroughfares. On the hottest day of the year it was a blessing to find the room was air conditioned hadn't expected that. The room was small but tidy but the ensuite was far nicer than you'd get for similar money from a big chain Inn/Lodge. The included breakfast was welcome - standard cooked English buffet and cereals affair. The lack of a lift might be a hindrance for some but we were travelling light to navigating the stairs wasn't an issue. Friendly staff who despite the email saying no early check in was available did in fact let us drop our luggage off into our room an hour. Furthermore on our departure day they held our luggage in a discreet cupboard till our afternoon departure from Kings Cross. For the price we paid - we're very happy and likely to rebook should we need a flying stop in London another time. Rooms: Rooms might be on the small side, but thankfully the bathroom isn't a cramped airplane cubicle type affair. Safety: Keycard access to the front door for security was welcome. Had a discreet luggage storage facility too for guests. Walkability: 9 minute walk from Kings Cross or Russell Square in the other direction. 30 minute walk to Covent Garden or Soho. Excellent location for both walkability within central or public transport to further out.
Close enough to the Kings Cross station. Rooms look nothing like the picture. The room they gave us was extremely dirty. It was on the first floor of the hotel and the window was left wide open where anyone walking along the sidewalk could have entered. The water provided in the room was filled with sediments of food or other strange particles. The walls were filthy and there was a clear handprint on the wall. It was a last minute booking and we just slept a night and left. Not comfortable, and a rough experience.
Helpful staff. Clean and well stocked room. Nice breakfast and good choices for a small hotel. Very convenient location for tube. Feels safe and quiet. Be mindful if you have mobility issues as there is no lift and breakfast is down a flight of stairs.Rooms: 5/5
