This lidl has seriously lost its quality checks. Don’t think about getting fruit, half the times the fruit displayed for purchase is literally rotting in the box and filled with bugs. I brought potato’s back last week and within a day they started going bad. unacceptable.
Lidl London Fields is exactly what you expect from a city Lidl, but slightly sharper and more convenient than most. Just off Well Street, it’s well located for a quick shop, and it tends to draw a steady mix of locals doing everything from full weekly shops to last-minute dinner runs.nnThe biggest strength is value. You can consistently pick up a solid basket for far less than the nearby alternatives, and the quality, particularly on fresh produce and bakery items, is generally strong for the price point. Lidl’s reputation for affordable weekly shops definitely holds up here.nnThat said, it’s not without its usual Lidl quirks. The layout can feel slightly chaotic at peak times, shelves aren’t always fully stocked, and queues can build quickly, especially in the evenings. These are fairly typical issues across many London branches rather than unique to this one.nnOverall, it does exactly what it needs to do. It’s not glamorous, but it’s reliable, well-priced and genuinely useful for everyday shopping. If you time it right and keep expectations realistic, it’s one of the better budget options in the area.
I had a disappointing experience today at Lidl. My shopping total was £29.36. I put £4.27 in coins into the self-service machine and also inserted a £5 note, then paid the remaining amount by card. However, the machine showed that I had only paid £6.89 in cash and charged £22.47 to my card, which does not match the amount of cash I actually inserted.nnI immediately asked the staff for help. They checked the machine and told me that my coins had not gone somewhere else and that the machine was working correctly. However, I still feel that my payment was not properly accounted for and I did not receive a clear explanation or resolution.nnThis is not the first time this has happened to me. I had a similar problem with the self-service machine during the winter, but I did not report it at the time.nnI hope Lidl reviews this issue, because customers should be able to trust the self-service machines and feel confident that their money is being handled correctly.
I've received another parking fine for being parked in the carpark for longer than 45 minutes. This is not long enough when the queues are long and not all checkouts are open on a Saturday afternoon. This was not my fault but now i'm being charged £45 and i couldn't just leave because i needed to checkout to be able to validate my parking.nnI would rather not email customerservice.reviews with more information so you can look into this further because i did that last time and nothing was done.
Who ever thinks lidl food is good has forgotten what actual food taste. Lowest quality food in any supermarket everything is bland especially the frozen food quality is shocking. People who shop here want to save money more than eat good food. Go and buy imported meat from non english butchers you will be shocked how different and good it taste. Lidl got some sort of spell on all these poor people for them to leave such high reviews.
