With the nearby Asda closed and no other supermarkets close by, this Sainsburys store is incredibly busy most of the day, everyday.nnThe store is too small for the volume of customers, with narrow aisles and it feels very chaotic, noisy and loud and while I can see the staff doing their best, it’s a horrible place to shop unless you visit very early or very late.nnFresh produce looks messy and half empty most times, the 4 weighing scales rarely work.
With a very full trolley over £300 at 10pm on a Monday evening, no manned tills open and massive self-checkout queues we were on the verge of leaving the trolley and walking out.... The helpful Ellie took pity on our plight and clearer it with Aziz manager to allow Parves to open the till point. He was friendly, waited patiently until items were packed before ringing up the next items and wished us a happy new year too! I'll be back! Thank you.
SubjectnFormal Complaint Regarding Aggressive Behaviour, False Accusations, Threats, Mental Distress, and Unfair Store BannDear Sir or Madam,nI am writing to formally complain about a very distressing and upsetting incident involving a staff member and a female manager at one of your Sainsbury’s stores.nI am 19 years old, and I was shopping with two other people at the time. I purchased three chicken items and scanned all three correctly at the self-checkout. I also scanned and paid for all other items. I honestly explained to staff that I had accidentally forgotten to scan one KitKat chocolate worth £1, which was a genuine mistake.nDespite my honesty, a staff member behaved in an extremely aggressive manner. I was repeatedly accused of not scanning one of the chicken items, told “do not lie,” and informed that CCTV was being watched. The staff member used rude and inappropriate language towards me, which was humiliating and frightening.nWhen the manager arrived, instead of calmly listening to my explanation, the manager also behaved aggressively, raised her voice, and continued to blame and accuse me. I was threatened that the police would be informed and that I could be deported. As a 19-year-old, this treatment was overwhelming and caused me significant mental distress.nAt the time, the receipt for the chicken items was with my friend. When I later showed the receipt, it clearly proved that all three chicken items had been scanned and paid for. Only after this proof was shown was the chicken item returned to me. However, despite it being proven that I had told the truth and had fully cooperated, I was still informed that I was banned from the store.nBeing shouted at, accused of lying, threatened, and banned despite clear proof has left me feeling mentally disturbed and distressed. No apology was offered for the false accusations, aggressive behaviour, or the threats made against me.nI believe the behaviour of both the staff member and the manager was unprofessional and inappropriate, particularly towards a young customer. I respectfully request that this incident be fully investigated, that the store ban be reviewed and reconsidered, and that appropriate action be taken to ensure customers are treated with respect and dignity.nThank you for your time and attention to this matter.
Horrendous queues especially since they changed the checkout aisles layout. Not helped by the fact that most people don't bother using self scan app as they shop which causes lengthy waits. Why don't they have a checkout section for smart shop only users. People use phones all the time but don't seem to be able to change their old habits of scanning at the till.nnPlus the car park is horrendous since redesign. If you don't have a resident permit to park nearby then it's a lengthy wait to leave from the car park.
They're very quick, efficient and the staff here are super lovely- Specially i Mention Manager Rafiq bro is very helpful any issue just ask him he'll solve.nthey even ask how your day is! I have never been here and had an unpleasant experience and is why I keep returning. Yes it does get very busy but you would be surprised how quick the ques go down so dont be put off by the que length. It's not always like that, but yeah the que line can look overwhelming but it does go down super quick. Really recommend this place.
