Large supermarket close to the city. Excellent transport links but most importantly a large car park for shoppers, 90min free parking.nnThe front of the store has been redesigned and the car park is now on one level in the front of the store. The store is good size with all the usual products, lots of self checkouts but the end of the queue is awkwardly positioned and you can't always tell when a checkout is empty.nThere is an Argos collection point insid. There are toilets for customers.
This store toilet out of 10 times you would get 5 times either very dirty or not working. They don’t bother about customers specially elderly. I hope whoever manages it come to sense!
Since it opened in '94, it has recently gone downhill! Shelves not replenished, empty fruit & vegetables from afternoon onwards. A large reduction, in number and choice of items available. Closing the deli counter a disastrous decision! It would appear they are too busy acquiring new businesses, and have taken their eyes off their core grocery business!
Big one, you can find everything in one place. Food, clothes for men, women and kids. As well there is an argos inside the store. In the past they have a cafe next to the entrance of the shop, was very lovely to relax after or before shopping. But it closed at the beginning of the pandemic. Wish to open again.
Still no toilet. 8 months toilet broke, they dont care. It was always my go to place for the last 15-20 years as it previously had the best deals for average/low income people. Unique among local shops for having a working toilet. However recently staff have been removing own brands leaving only the expensive options. The last 3-4 months the toilet has been broken and you can see a stream of disappointment mums and old people who had planned their shopping around being able to access the toilet and effectively being caught short. The staff seem increasingly indifferent to the customers, which is presumably the reason they haven't got the toilet fixed. They can just pop out the back and use the staff loo but the shoppers are stranded. I know they can't help the area being gentrified and people losing interest in the cheaper products but they can definitely sort out a plumber to fix the loo but it's obviously just not important enough for them. Either that or they are deliberatly keeping the toilets taped off.
